GPSCity is the way to go.
I'm not sure that Garmin is even shipping it to end users yet.
I called Garmin the day I ordered mine from GPSCity (who was showing in
stock) and was told that it wasn't even released yet. Wait two weeks or
so for the release.
Instead I waited two days and had it in my hands!
NT version only is available.
Non-NT is not released yet.
I have a problem with the naming of this update - it is now April 2008
and they are calling it the 2009 version. What will they call the one
they want to sell next year at this time?
Dave S.
what's the difference between the two ?
I think I have the NT version on my 260 ?
Same map and POI information in both mapsets. And yes, the Nuvi 260 has
preloaded NT maps.

The NT (New Technology) version uses an improved compression algorithm
and stores in less space (.9 GB as opposed to 1.7 GB for the non-NT
version).
Some older models cannot use the NT version. You can determine
compatibility from the MapSource City Navigator product pages.

Just a guess, but 2010?
Bruce.
It is another monument to Garmin's ability to implement poorly thought
out changes.
When they were using the classic V7, V8, V9 thing, they could put out
new versions whenever they wanted.
Then then named one after a year and apparently decided that the others
should follow suit.
So now they have themselves painted into a corner. They are either
going to have to wait to put out new versions or have versions that
don't track with the calendar years.
I'm voting against CNNA 2009 by not opening my wallet. I'm going to sit
that version out.

If 2010 is a good name for a product released in the first half of 2009,
wouldn't 2011 be even better?
Dave S.
I remember throughout the 90s that all kinds of companies added "2000" to
the end of their product names. XYZ 2000. Then came Y2K and everyone
dropped the numbers. I guess "3000" will be popular next.
Bruce.
Please Help! I have installed the update however it won't show Canada
Map. any idea how to fix it?
Thanks.
Mine works fine. What have you tried? Have you tried sending just the area
you're interested in from Mapsource?
