How is it supposed to know the road is flooed or undriveable? Mine has a
button where you hit detour to let it know you can't go that way.

And what brand will behave different in this case?

But is Garmin OK?

Man! I'm really glad to hear that you gave up GPS. Some people just
don't have enough common sense to use one. I don't think you needed the
distraction.

Are you away it is a suggestion? Not and order? Ann that you can stop
the route and the prompts will stop?

And how would you expect a Garmin GPS receiver know the roads were
flooded? That's why you were there, to think things through.

DUH - did you have the video option to tell the GPS ?

Did you press the "Detour" icon on the screen ?

Translation: Are you aware it is a suggestion? Not an order? And that
you can stop...

I was trying to communicate on the OP's level. I though the mispellings
and mangled syntax would help. :>)

Actually my fingers are not working very good, I smashed a nail today
stacking firewood. It is throbbing with pain and distracting me...

And I'm not man enough to do the time honored cure and poke a hole in it
with a red hot paper clip to relieve the pressure.

anything, that shouldn't be necessary...

How is it supposed to know the road is unusable unless you tell it? Did
you tell it to detour?

Quit making fun of him. He is the caretaker of my uncle's estate after he
died in Uzbekistan just after depositing $50million. He is helping to get
the money transferred to my account I'm so glad he contacted me.

Tell me.

Just how is your GPS supposed to know that the road is flooded. Did
some one or something tell it?
Remember, it's just like any other computer. If you don't tell it, it
doesn't know.
