260 -> 255 -> next ?

We originally bought the Garmin 260 and it was/is great for our basic needs.
Next we acquired the 255, which has a little better screen layout and info
icons.
Still using both - and have updated the maps in the 255,
but now the time has come for a decision on the 260....
Do we just update the maps from 2008 for $49,
or do we get another very basic model with a current map ?

With so many variants of Garmin GPS units,
it really takes some looking and comparing
to come up with another basic model
and not sure if I want the bigger screen vs what we already have.
