Just wondering how Windows 7 is playing
with the Garmin Webupdater, USB drivers,
and the online browser plugin for the Garmin website
with the Dashboard ?
1 - Webupdater ?
2 - Garmin website plugin ?
3 - Garmin website Dashboard ?
4 - Mapsource and other "stuff" ?

My experience with Garmin and Windows 7 (64 bit):
1 - Webupdater works fine;
2 - Plugin; I do not even know what that is;
3 - Dashboard: I do not use that;
4 - Mapsource works fine.

The Garmin browser "plugin" allows the Garmin website
to connect to your GPS via USB....
and display info on the website Dashboard screen,
https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/dashboard.htm
Also - it can be used with Mapquest & Google Maps
after finding a location and then "Send to GPS" via the Garmin website
which again would use the plugin to connect to your GPS via USB.
I changed over to my laptop and seems things are working now! Might have
been the cable as well. Changed both update later when FB is done!!
Thanks for the help Fellow Travelers!

On the Mapsource full compatibility there are some problems. See this
discussion.
