So...that means I'm "late" for bidding you, my friends, tidings of joy
and tenderness during the holliday season? Fine, then. If that's the
way you jerks feel about it, I take it all back.
How does THAT feel???

current and topical.
now, you ~could~ wish people a happy new years, because, like, thats
the next holiday in line...
How about a passing wave at the 'orrible aughts?
Why not keep Christmas in our hearts every day of the year? Not just
WON day, sheesh. Gosh. What a bunch of Scrooges!
> Why not keep Christmas in our hearts every day of the year?
Why would you want to celebrate the birth of a fictitious God on a day that
wasn't his birthday? It all sounds just a little too daft for me!
Oh, jeemanites, I don't know. I guess, because when we were children,
we believed that on that very day, we would receive presents from a
magical being...a magical being who defies logic and performs
ludicrously impossible tasks. Of course, this whole concept exists
merely because our parents perpetually lied to us, because, as
impressionable young children, we were naive and ignorant, and
therefore, easily manipulated by the adults who supposedly loved us. And
for some reason, now, as adults, we can't look beyond the absurdity of
that concept, and we still glorify the holiday based on our cherished
memories of such childish naivety and, well, greed. Also, I like
watching the reruns of those poorly executed--but somehow
beloved--children's animated Christmas specials.
Ahh... I somewhat agree! However - I'd be more inclined to side with you if
they renamed this 'CHRISTmas' affair to SANTAmas. Now THERE'S a magical
being that I'd be happy to pretend (for the benefit of the kids) exists!
we are supposed to celebrate the solstice (more light, less dark until
mid summer)
not jesus. he was born in about march but the romans fixed the
calender so the holiday fell on winter solstice and everyone could be
happy and take a holiday at the same time. of course jesus was way
cool too, ....

Jesus is a 2000 years ago version of David Blaine or Derren Brown! Nothing
more... Roll up your rugs and get over it!

Yeah, and then get those throw pillows off the duvet, lol.
