The bombing of the Boston Marthon just shot in the head the efforts of the NRA to prevent tougher gun laws

The bombing of the Boston Marathon has just seriously hurt the NRA's
efforts to stop tougher gun laws from being enacted.

More the violence, the more likely the American people will want
stronger laws to protect society from those who commit violence.

The NRA and its sanctioned guns are the poster children of violence in
America.

And if it is learned that a domestic rightard was responsible for this
bombing like in Oklahoma City, the Hammer of Society will come down
hard on all those gun loons out there in America.

OK Fool. Knowledge test. What was the probable explosive used? All the
evidence you need is right in the videos of the event. You seem to
think you know it all. Let's see.

Prevent bombings by banning guns? That must be that liberal logic I
hear so much about. Now if you wanted to ban pressure cookers, you
might have a point.

Nah. The Muslim extremist terrorists generally like higher velocity
explosives. Boston looked like plain ol' black powder to me. I'm
keeping an open mind until more facts are in, but if I had to guess, I'd
guess a lone domestic nutcase jackhole, or maybe a very small group of 'em.

That, actually, was due to the far-right, religious and political
CONSERVATIVE. racist Irish who live in Boston, mostly in the area of
South Boston.

These are the same people who ranted and raved against school
intergration.

These are the same people who will not let gay Irish groups march in a
St. Patrick's Day Parade (even though Dublin, Ireland does.)

These people, typical old, white, far right Republicans, are dying out
like ultraconservative Republican thoughout all of the United States.
South Boston is becoming a much more inclusive and attractive area of
Boston to live in now.

These far-right, ultraconservative Ko0ks, who have been an
embarassment to the vast majority of people in the City of Boston, are
now becoming even an embarassment to South Boston -- which is trying
to show itself as a part of Boston that has also moved into the 21st
century.

With black powder, unless you have it contained very tightly, it takes
a pretty big pile to get it to explode. There's an inverse
relationship between the size of the pile and the required strength of
the container.

I forget the story with smokeless. It's not even an explosive, in the
strict meaning of the word.

The laughably idiotic "Ray Keller" keeps hopelessly trying to spread
this slander that I'm disbarred, even after it was conclusively proved
to be merely his own intentional lie. Anyone can access the Florida Bar
web page and quickly confirm this for themselves. I am simply
temporarily on the inactive list due to a medical disability, not
disciplined, and certainly not disbarred, as he knows perfectly well,
but he foolishly keep trying to spread that lie by reposting it repeatedly.

I take it as something between his abject admission of frustration over
his own mental inferiority, a clear demonstration of his low moral
character, an angry expression of his personal envy or jealousy of me,
and his obvious sick obsession and possible disgusting man-crush on me.

Fortunately, he is perhaps the biggest laughingstock here, and is held
in nearly universal contempt and subject to constant derision for his
repeated public displays of his own stupidity. He has also long since
completely shredded his own credibility through his pattern of repeating
just such discredited lies as this. I am quite confident no one pays
any attention to him anymore, but I am in the process of dealing with it
anyway.

In the meantime, as I said, anyone can easily check out the facts
themselves, or just Google "Ray Keller's" posting history for a good
laugh at his readily apparent intellectual and moral deficits. Or they
could simply post any simple question about anything at all for "Ray
Keller," and they would immediately see for themselves what sort of
dullard "Ray Keller" really

Most of these nut jobs have similar behavior. Toy cop Johnson
insisting The New Yorker is highly credible is to me as funny as it
gets. I guess toy cop Johnson figures no one here really reads The New
Yorker.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Yorker

"The New Yorker is an American magazine of reportage, commentary,
criticism, essays, fiction, satire, cartoons, and poetry. It is
published by Condé Nast. Started as a weekly in 1925, the magazine is
now published 47 times annually, with five of these issues covering
two-week spans.

Although its reviews and events listings often focus on the cultural
life of New York City, The New Yorker has a wide audience outside of
New York. It is well known for its illustrated and often topical
covers, its commentaries on popular culture and eccentric Americana,
its attention to modern fiction by the inclusion of short stories and
literary reviews, its rigorous fact checking and copyediting, its
journalism on politics and social issues, and its single-panel
cartoons sprinkled throughout each issue."

Appeared to be one hell of a lot of smoke. I have dealt with BP for
years and it looked real close. Way too much smoke for smokeless and

FWIW, it appeared to me that the smoke was from something other than
the powder. I'd think that a pressure-cooker-full of BP would make a
hell of a lot more smoke than that.

But I don't shoot cannons, so I don't know...

Ayup. It was black powder or some derivative of it. Nothing else makes
that kind of cloud..with the exception of poorly compounded
ANFO....and it would have to be way the fuck off standards.

Ammonium Nitrate and Fuel oil mixed 94% - 6% (by weight) = AMFO
explosive compound. Easy to make but very stable and safe to handle
because it takes real effort to detonate it.

Keller," and they would immediately see for themselves what sort of
dullard "Ray Keller" really is.

The Second Amendment IS Pro-Life.

"Among the natural rights of the Colonists are these:
First, a right to life;
Secondly, to liberty;
Thirdly, to property;
together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner
they can.
These are evident branches of, rather than deductions from, the duty of
self-preservation,
commonly called the first law of nature...
In short, it is the greatest absurdity to suppose it in the power of one,
or any number of men, at the entering into society,
to renounce their essential natural rights, or the means of preserving
those rights;
when the grand end of civil government, from the very nature of its
institution, is for the support, protection, and defence of those very
rights;
the principal of which, as is before observed, are Life, Liberty, and
Property.
If men, through fear, fraud, or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up
any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of
society would absolutely vacate such renunciation.
The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty,
it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift
and voluntarily become a slave."

Yes, by all means, please do.

> The Florida State Bar only lists one Jeff McCann and he is disbarred

Sorry, your lie cannot pass even a cursory check of the facts from the
source.

http://www.floridabar.org/names.nsf/MESearchDK?Openform&QuickSearch&LN=McCann&FN=Jeffrey

There you will find TWO separate listings for "Jeffrey Allen McCann."
This will immediately prove "Ray Keller" is lying, as if there were ever
any doubt. One, in far southeast Florida, a graduate of Nova, has
apparently has been disciplined and/or disbarred. The other is me, and
I am in far Northwest Florida, graduated from Florida State, etc. But
"Ray Keller" definitely already knows this, and this can also be
confirmed by the many past references to these details in my posts over
the decades.

It will also show on that website that I have NOT been disciplined or
disbarred. It will prove that I simply am on the inactive/incapacitated
list due to a medical disability, and not due to disciplinary action.
That status also relieves me from doing continuing education, pro bono
and paying full dues. But I am free to return to the active list at any
time. This would involve little more than a note from my doctors, and
some paperwork and such.

Of course, this has all been carefully and fully explained, documented
and cited, repeatedly, for "Ray Keller's" benefit on this NG
(misc.survivalism). So there can be absolutely no doubt whatsoever that
he does know the truth, but has chosen to continue intentionally and
maliciously lying and libeling me anyway. Apparently, he's either
completely obsessed with me, or has some sort of disgusting man-crush on
me, and had been stalking me with this lie for some months. But since
I'd long had him killfiled, I was only tipped off some time later. You
could also look up "Ray Keller's" posting history and easily confirm
both his obsession with me and the fact that he's been provided with
adequate proof to definitely know that he's lying.

LOL...you just know that the bombing is going to way against the mad
dog NRA attempt's to sell more guns.

Poor little Ronny thinks that everyone else is as stupid as he is.

Or is Ronny one of the Boston Marthon bombers who is wondering how
much the authorities know?

Why would I (or any professional) post on Usenet information that is
not publicly available in connection with an ongoing investigation?

As I said, take a good look at the video..it tells the informed
observer what explosive was used.

FWIW...some of the press is now reporting preliminary information as
to what explosive material was used.

Spectral analysis by the FBI will of course need to be done to confirm
type/manufacturer/distributor yet.

I would have imagined there would have been lots of people that would
have known the explosive by the smell. I can often tell what brand of
powder people at the range are using. There HAD to be some shooters
there and would have recognized it if it was BP or smokeless.

Anyone honest can see the truth of the matter.

How baseless of you to say on the subject of who could be responsible
for the Boston bombing, "Probably white combat Vets." You cast an
unmistakable slur on them, on your way to make some far sillier point.
Try to weasel and squirm your way out of it all you want, it's right
there on everyone's monitor.

Absolutely. Whenever they get their backsides kicked on the actual
merits of the subject at hand, the real scumbags always try for some
scurrilous, entirely off-topic, personal attack. They are, of course,
primarily just lashing out in anger. They are poor losers, and their
behavior signals their fundamental immaturity. But they also hope to
shift the revealing spotlight of truth and reason away from their own
lies, logical errors, propaganda, contradictions and other hogwash in
their posts, onto something, anything, else. In this, they are
something like cockroaches; they scurry and hide from the light.

But they are rather amusing, in a pathetic sort of way. Keep watching
for further developments.

No, you're not. You couldn't possibly have a medical disability that
would prevent you from having an active law license, but that /wouldn't/
keep you from being an active duty fireman and EMT. There's a lie
somewhere in your yarn.

If you had some physical disability that kept you from working, you
wouldn't need to deactivate your law license; you just wouldn't practice
law for a while.

Your story is bullshit.

Logic and reason certainly aren't your strong suits, Pimple. But
there's that magical omniscience [again] that the Pimple thinks he has,
wherein he can read minds, divine facts unknowable to him absent magical
powers, and predict future events with absolute certainty. He also
believes that any made-up, nonsense, BS "fact" he pulls out of his
rectum is automatically an "an established fact, not in rational
dispute." No wonder he's made himself into such a ridiculous, angry
little laughingstock!

Cut the shit, jeffy m. Tell us what "medical disability" would prevent
you from practicing law that *wouldn't* prevent you from working as an
active firefighter and EMT.

Your story is bullshit. The simple fact is, you have some kind of
*legal* disability, similar to the way a felon has a *legal* gun
disability. You have a legal law license disability.

Senate Blocks Obama's Gun Control!

WASHINGTON | Wed Apr 17, 2013 8:52pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's campaign to curb gun
violence after the Newtown school massacre was dealt a crippling blow on
Wednesday when the Senate rejected a plan to expand background checks for
gun buyers.

Despite emotional pleas from families of victims of the shootings in
Newtown, Connecticut, and broad public support, the plan to extend
background checks for sales made online and at gun shows failed on a 54-46
vote, six short of the 60 votes it needed to clear a procedural hurdle in
the Senate.

It was a stark reminder of the gun culture's hold on America - or at least
its politics - and a display of how each party has used Senate rules to
effectively block legislation even when it has the support of the majority.

At the White House, a visibly angry Obama said he sympathized with Americans
who were trying to make sense of it all.

"This was a pretty shameful day for Washington," said Obama, flanked by
Newtown families and former Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who was
severely wounded in a 2011 mass shooting in Arizona.

"I see this as just Round One," Obama said. "Sooner or later, we are going
to get this right. The memories of these children demand it."

The plan by Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Pat Toomey
of Pennsylvania to expand background checks represented Obama's best hope to
pass meaningful gun-control legislation after the killings of 20 children
and six adults at Newtown's Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Other measures backed by the president - including a proposal to ban
rapid-firing "assault" weapons like the one used in Connecticut and a limit
on ammunition clips - also failed in a series of Senate votes that reflected
senators' reluctance to be seen as undermining the constitutional right to
bear arms.

The votes also showed the enduring political power of gun-rights defenders
and the National Rifle Association, the nation's largest gun lobby.

"Our hearts are broken. Our spirit is not," Mark Barden, whose son was
killed in Newtown, said at the White House after the vote as Obama looked
on.

Barden vowed that his group of Sandy Hook victims' family members would
continue to seek "common-sense solutions" to gun violence.

'SHOW SOME GUTS'

The votes in the Democratic-led Senate on Wednesday were the culmination of
weeks of intense negotiations and lobbying over the proposed gun
restrictions, and signaled the likely demise of the biggest package of gun
legislation in Congress in two decades.

By contrast, the shootings in gun-free zones invariably result in far higher
casualty figures -- Sikh temple, Oak Creek, Wis. (six dead); Virginia Tech,
Blacksburg, Va. (32 dead); Columbine High School, Columbine, Colo. (12
dead); Amish school, Lancaster County, Pa. (five little girls killed);
public school, Craighead County, Ark. (five killed, including four little
girls).

All these took place in gun-free zones, resulting in lots of people getting
killed -- and thereby warranting inclusion in the Mother Jones study.

Left admits it but Ed, who claimed to be in the center, doesn't admit to the
media blackout. If this had been about puppies, or something Obama could
exploit, it would have made all the left stream media daily.

Don't forget ANAL (Ammonium Nitrate and Aluminum Powder) :-) That's what
the binary exploding targets are supposed to be such as Tannerite. It's
supposed to take a bullet > 2000 FPS to detonate the targets, but some are
more sensitive to work with 22 rimfire. I'm guessing an ammonium nitrate
target could detonate ANFO, not sure though. Again I'm guessing ANFO won't
detonate by a rifle bullet, not sure what the equivalent of a #8 blasting
cap is though.

There wasn't one, you moron. I pointed out that there were thousands
of stories about it in the real media.

I don't agree with the people who think it should be everybody's
top-line headline. It's a sensationalist story, the kind that makes
tabloid headlines.

It would have made the tabloid media. The right-wing media is nearly
100% tabloid media.

Tannerite is ANAL with a few other items in the mix to make the big
cloud. Not sure if it has enough punch though.

Straight ANFO won't detonate without pressure and heat. You need a
pretty good shockwave and heat to cause it to blow. Common blasting caps
won't do the job. Usually you use a cap in TNT or Tovex as a booster to
get the ANFO to detonate.
