In a completely ironic move, the ever-beloved Dr. Laura Schlesinger
has ditched her fleet of J/Boats and bought a Flying Tiger, and she'll
compete in her first-ever regatta this coming weekend at Ullman Sails
Race Week in Long Beach.
An avowed fan of SA, Doctor Laura has had some interesting history
with The Ed and remains the ongoing butt of many jokes in the SA
Forum, and now she's bought into the boat and fleet that was born on
Sailing Anarchy. The move shows some serious sack, and we have to give
her kudos for stepping up to one-design racing in the SoCal Tiger
fleet. She's generally got talented sailors around her, but there's
little doubt that Laura's sailing will be scrutinized closely here...

Bad Anarchy
Another yacht and crew was taken by Somalian pirates in the anarchic
Gulf of Aden today, and the Captain and crew - a family of three - are
being held hostage as we speak. We don't entirely understand why a few
ships from the abundant naval forces in the area can't get diverted to
go sink some pirate ships - hopefully, another crew won't have to die
before something is done about these bastards.
