Muslim Americans: Apprehend Terrorists Among You

There are many Muslims in America who claim that they are not terrorists and that they want to live in peace.
If that is the case, then they need to do more to apprehend the terrorists among them.
When peaceful Muslims fail to stop those among them who want to be terrorists, they become guilty by association. And that draws down all sorts of nastiness against the Muslim people, including everything from rank racism to religious attacks from those Christians who think that Christianity is the only true religion.
The American Muslims are in a much better position to apprehend the Muslim terrorists than are non-Muslims or the government. They are their neighbors; they are their friends. If the American Muslims want to live in peace, then they will need to stop those among them who are at war against America. Otherwise they become guilty by association, and the rest of America sees them as terrorists or supporters of terrorism.
There are many Muslims in America, and this is crucial for their reputation as well as the way in which they get treated. If they are really peace-loving, then they will prevent those among them who are not peace-loving from perpetrating terrorist acts. Doing this will go to a great length toward reducing the anti-Muslim sentiment in America, and it will give the Muslim Americans the peace and the respect that they claim to seek.
