Ok... first off....a warning... I'm so tired that I'm likely not to make too
much sense....

Anyway... my B-day is Feb 7 along with Jeff.

Now, I posted a little while back how much b-day's mean to me... not just
mine but my friends as well.... well, my friend's b-day was last week... and
I looked all over town for the *perfect* gift and found it. He was speechless.
Then he couldn't stop talking about it.

So, to Papyta (I know I blew the name.... I'm sorry) that ex-SO of yours
was a jerk. Don't let him ruin precious moments for you now... be thankful
you got rid of that insensitive clod.

Adrian- (the one who wrote about your father) that was *amazing* really
made me think...

Now, for the whole flower routine.... pink roses.... they get to me everytime.
Hear that David?? I doubt if he even has time to read this... but I guess
I'll just have to show it to him.

Well... I'd better go before I fall asleep on the keyboard. zzzzzzzzzzzz

Jennifer

Please, don't be so quick to condemn someone, just because they do something
apparently insensitive. Twelve months ago I probably would have said something
fairly similar. It's not that I was insensitive, but more likely insecure. I
took a shot at a girl I really liked once. It never even looked like working
out (except from where I was standing ;^). Now I know I said some really dumb
things to her in that time, but it was just because I was extremely nervous,
and unsure of myself. I was always feeling like I should say something
"devastatingly funny or meaningful" (you know those uncomfortable silences ;^)
and as such, I was never really relaxed and I know now that she wasn't either.
If you really like someone, I think you should be prepared to forgive the odd
"mistake". I'm sure it was very disappointing for Papatya (sp?), but what
about the guy involved?>

I agree with Elson. Thinking back and laughing at the times I've put my
own foot in my mouth when meeting someone new, I always try to keep an open
mind. Often these "bloopers" break the ice. I try to look at the motivation
behind the comment before I get mad or reject someone.
