Money is not the value of a gift. Romance is not weighed in gold.
If you would give something special and romantic, you must weigh its
value with something more precious than the holy greenback. Money is
earned and spent, stored and wagered, but is by itself meaningless.
Let time and love be your currency. How much money you spend is
irrelevant. The most romantic gift is the one that you care enough to
recognize the importance of and go out of your way to obtain, regardless
of the cost. If you want it to be special to your loved one, it must be
personal. We cannot tell you what it should be.
Spend your time and energy on discovering what would make your
special person happy, then obtain it for them. Many times, it is not a
thing at all, but an activity. Sacrifice something that you would spend
your time on, and spend that time on your loved one instead. That time
spent together will be worth much more than any department store
trinket.
Our time is our most precious commodity. We squander it recklessly,
sell it for electronic numbers in our bank accounts, and so frequently
take it for granted. Don't look for a shortcut in finding the perfect
present. Spend the time it takes to give something personal and
special. And then spend more of your precious time together, and that
time will buy you the joy and everlasting memories that no amount of
money can ever buy.

a ZINFANDEL!!! Okay, try Chateau Ste. Michelle (Columbia Valley)
Chardonnay....cost approx $8.00 for the 95 vintage, about 13 for the 94.
really good, goes great with anything, smooth buttery falvor, best
served chilled, and after dinner a small cup of Frangelica liqueor (cost
varies depending on size of bottle but not more than $10) served warm
(place in small glass, fill another larger glass with hot water, put
first glass on top of second until it gets warm....do not microwave the
frangelica)

and how do I get it out of the tree? 10 years ago I feel out of a tree
getting mistletoe down (but I did bring it down with me!)
8 years ago a bullet in the chamber of a gun exploded out the side
blowing back in my face while shooting misteltoe down out of the
tree....butthen again this is still the way I harvest the stuff anyway
so there you go...ever notie how it only grows in hardwood trees?

HA HA HA....wiping a tear from my eye from laughing....um, well, I can
cook really well, and that's a great idea.
Try a little lemon swordfish, mix up a baste of Seasame and olive oil,
mix in melted butter nito the baste with seasning salt, and put that on
the fish, to keep it from drying out while grilling. Cook with a couple
of filet migons, serve with some veggie of your choice...

geeze another damn lecture....okay listen all of you....I know all this
stuff...
but some people don't. I'm trying to get a specific discussion going
here for the lurkers out there...I know they exist because I get their
E-Mail....
So don't lecture, just give suggestions. Some people go best with
specific ideas.

okay, all the romantic and saccharine stuff aside...I lack any sort of
creative vein...those areas that I am creative in or making something I
lack the tools to do them at this time....
I know love isn't based on money (jeez if I said that ya'll might revoke
my right to post here!)
but......I'm going shopping today...and even if we don't categorize by
money, I think the excnage should still be on SPECIFIC gifts...

Here's a romantic gift idea:
Many of us spend too much time on the net and that is occasionally to the
chagrin of someone we care about so......
Why not give someone their own homepage?
Everyone needs a little flattery from time to time, right.
Scan in their picture or something creative they have made or written.
Make them something they can take pride in and admire.
It's worth the time and effort just to see the look on their faces!
(and maybe they'll spend time on the net with you reading fan-mail!)
