Tower had em in Philly for $14 along with Flashpoint. It sounds great.
Also they have Love You Live, which was my first stones album but I think it
sounds very sloppy. What does everyone else think? Flashpoint has my favorite
songs, but Still Life is very solid. I wish Still Life were the double album
instead,
I took a behind the scenes tour of the garden on 1/14 MSG1, and although we
only got to go backstage a little, they said the Rangers locker room was turned
into a recording studio for recording the shows. maybe they will do Ya'Ya;s II.
With 36 different songs (give or take one or two) its seems that they could
make a really interesting live album as songs such as little red rooster, all
down the line, respectable, and whip I don't think have been played otherwise
on this tour.
Also, I felt they were smoking the most on the first night. Keith was kicking
on Sympathy.
I too think it愀 sloppy. Jagger seems to be just spitting out the words.
Also the guitars are mixed way down low. I扉e also read that Brown Sugar
has overdubbed vocals on it. I like the club tracks though.

Me too. Flashpoint is also good but the production is much too slick.

That's what makes it so great to me- Raw, Raunchy, and Sloppy. Jagger does spit
the words out, but he does the same thing on most of the shows from '72-73 and
most people don't seem to mind. The guitars are mixed a little lower than Get Yer
Ya Ya's, but just listen to the performances. This was before the weaving guitar
style took over-there's still a clear distinction between lead and rhythm. People
often blame Ronnie for this change in style, but just listen to his playing on
this album. He's doing most of the lead work here just like Taylor did before him.
That leaves Keith free to lay that rhythm down. Ronnie clearly proves on this
album that he's capable of playing that style. It was Keith that instigated the
change to weaving. He's never played with the same rhythm intensity since. Most
Stones fans don't want to admit this, but it's true.
Sure, Brown Sugar had some overdubs on it as well as several other tracks,
probably even those club tracks you like. The same thing is true of every live
Stones album. If you want a TRUE live performance, you have to go with bootlegs.
Norbert.
Gelukkig hoeft men hiervoor alleen maar naar het postkantoor.
what are u talking about dude?
He's offering tickets for the 5 September show in The Hague.
Unfortunately for him , the show hasn't sold out yet ( still 40.000
tickets to go....)
BB
Yes, I read it. All concerts in Amsterdam were sold out immediately. The
last concert of the tour, the Hague, is not yet sold out, strange...
