Ex- Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has said that in the wake of the
recent Jimmy Savile sex scandal he went to the police to talk about
his past relationship with a 13-year-old. He was 47 when he began
dating Mandy Smith.
In the mid-eighties when Wyman, now 76, began seeing Smith he had the
approval of her mother and Smith said she was 14, he 48, when they
began having sex; the two went on to marry but separated in 1991,
divorcing in 1993. Wyman soonafter married the then 23-year-old
Suzanne Accosta and the two remain together; they have three children.

Wyman did not say when he spoke with the police and the Crown
Prosecution Service, only that it was after the late Savile's sexual
abuse of children and young adults became public last year. “I went to
the police and the public prosecutor and asked if they wanted to talk
to me," Wyman told media in the U.K.. "They said no. I was totally
open about it.”
Wyman claims that his relationship with his ex-wife when she was
underage was not like the Savile cases. He said their coupling was
“very emotional and special at the time.” Smith's older sister has
recently called for Wyman to be prosecuted. However, Mandy Smith, now
39, said she has moved on but told the Daily Mail last year that "if
it happened now, Bill would go to jail."
Wyman, born William George Perks, left the Stones in 1993 to pursue
other musical interests and now fronts his own band, Bill Wyman's
Rhythm Kings. He has said that he's been "girl mad" throughout his
life and for him it has been a kind of "addiction."

That must have been a difficult choice to make. Kudos for being
willing to step foward that way. Thumbs down for being so horny that
he asked Mandy's parents permission to date her...really dude? I
thought it wrong back in the day...still creepy...

Amazing story, still hard to believe the Stone Alone really is a straight out pedophile.

Interesting that during that time and up until the mid 1990s at least, the age of consent here in Alabama was like 14.

Compeetely legal!
