"Rare" meaning "crappy-sounding", eh?

I refer to the sound quality (ie. this is not the remastered Virgin
version).
As far as being released two years before the remainder of the Stones
catalog, well, I've seen sealed copies of Windows 386 which I'm sure
could be described as "rare". Desirable? An entirely different story.

I know most posters here have IQ's higher than that of a beach ball, so for
your edification only:
1. For some time, Still Life, as well as Flashpoint and Love You Live, were
out-of-print and commanded premium prices on eBay and other sales channels.
Now, either you bought the CD at a "normal" price and you now feel like a
dunce for not dumping it during that window of opportunity, or you one of
those who paid a premium price and you now feel like a dunce because a
better-sounding version is available at a reasonable price.
2. Virgin reissued the CD with superior, remastered sound. Presumably, you
purchased this CD as well and realized it indeed was superior to the ATCO
version.
3. You're now trying to dump your ATCO copy but having seen the prices of
the RS Records catalog of those albums that have been remastered plummet,
you're trying to artificially hype the price by tagging it as a "rare
collectable".
Your argument regarding vinyl is specious because
(a) people who own turntables but not CD players can only enjoy vinyl
releases;
(b) you're not trying to auction your CD for the purpose of listening
(obviously - since the Virgin release sounds better and is available from
any retailer for under fifteen bucks), but as a dubious "rare collectible".
P.S. Stop top-posting, moron.

Who wants to buy that sick perverted stuff?
Not me. I'm here to discuss the greatest rock 'n roll band of all time -
The Rolling Stones.
