When was that, early 80s or something?
And as they were playing, naturally they were building this giant wall
behind the stage made out of styrofoam bricks and stuff like that. And then
at the end of the show the entire Wall collapsed into a giant dustball of
talcum powder.
For some reason I always think about this tiny crevice that was part of that
wall. It wasn't intentional; it was just a crack in the Wall that was
eventually corrected by the people in the cherrypickers behind it.
And the era this concert was staged was just starting to signal the
beginning of the End for rock music. The era of declining ticket sales in
Rock Music had just begun. So this was the first time ever they had to make
up some bullshit about "no behind the stage seats will be sold" etc. This
was the FIRST time that ever happened.
And I also remember one of the spotlight guys had his bright lights trained
on some kid down on the floor there with a real sweet ass for the whole
entire show. Didn't budge from that ass for 2 hours. I was up in the Loge.
Anyone who went to this show would remember that one sweet ass down on the
floor there. I know *I* do! :-)

I saw that show. It was 1979, at the Nassau Ciliseum. There actually
was no tour that year. They just did 6 shows at the Ciliseum and 6
shows on the west coast somewhere (LA Ampitheater, maybe? I forget).
I was in 11th grade, and on window pane acid for that one.
Cool show to trip to. Lotsa shit goin on onstage, and flying pigs and
stuff floating around the arena. Real cool night. What a blast.

I might be wrong, but I was thinking it was San Diego or San Fransisco
or something. My uncle flew out there from atlanta because they
weren't touring. He said it was crazy. He said that Roger Waters
came out before the show and announced to the crowd that if anyone
wanted to get beer, or go to the bathroom, or anything like that they
should do it now because once the show started they didn't want anyone
going anywhere.

I own that box, I bought it in 95 for $76.99. I bought it at Tower records, I
still have the receipt. If this helps it has a item number of #75909143862. It
is hinged to reveal the standard AHM disc on one side as well as the booklet on
the other. It has a sticker on the outside that says, "This full colour wooden
shaped "cow" box contains the Pink Floyd "Atom Heart" compact disc this set is
limited to 1000 pieces worldwide" I have 555 out of 1000. How bad do you want

Strange that DT saw it 2 years ago since I bought mine so long ago, maybe it
