Hello CoS and Merry Christmas a little early. :-)

It's been a while since I looked in here to be perfectly honest. I was
stirring some usenet shit elsewhere, all in good fun, because I had
some spare time. All of the ARRMO Yes-Men took part in a mass exodus
to a place which I am sure provides them the security and chorus of
agreeable voices which allow their worlds to make sense to them. That
is nice and I wish all of the old guys a Merry Christmas, too! I still
keep in touch with Agent Albert from time to time. He and I are, as
they say, of the same generation and appreciate many of the same
bands. AA is a stand-up guy and can always be relied upon for a good
laugh through his dry and accurate observations of life.

The only usenet group I use now is alt.guitar.amps. Technically, I
hadn't posted there since August but decided to stop by for the
holidays. It's actually a very funny place in moderation - basically a
mix of nerdy types and complete lunatics who tend to have nervous
breakdowns on a regular basis. Once you read for about a month,
pressing the buttons of those on shaky ground is child's play, much
like it was at ARRMO. Even though the guitars.amps is supposed to be
about music and instruments, politics and backbiting are the glue that
holds it together. It makes me feel warm and tingly since I never
taken anything seriously even though everyone always falls for my
feigned holier than thou outrage. The basic shtick of VOR's character
is to dangle a bone from high upon my imaginary moral pedestal and
then see who bites. It's a proces really, nothing more or less and
certainly not how I talk to people I know more personally. In the end,
it allows any participants to work on their logic as they present
arguments and counterarguments until, that is, the loser falls into
the trap of personal insults and crying like a baby.

I just wanted to thank you for the Badlands DVD and the ARRMO
collection of hits. It was really cool and generous of you to be kind
to me in that way. If anything cool comes my way, you might get
something in your mail box. Open it without fear, as I have little in
common with Ted Kaczynski. :-)

Anyway, I think that guitar.amps group survived so long despite the
fact that is has more controversial posters, because they know how to
ignore nuisance posts and spam. Let's put it this way: the peddah and
Wereo couldn't make a dent in that place, despite repeated attempts,
because they couldn't compete with the other nutjobs.

Let me tell you since we last spoke I've signed a distribution deal with a
major film company to release my world-unique Super 8 films from the early
1970s. Who thought I had Super 8s? I'm just waiting for them to upload to
their site. It's a automated process they tell me.

Luckily the films (and these are films!) are telecined out into DigiBeta,
which is top-of-the-line when it comes to these things. It was done by me in
2001 by Time-Life on another television project I was working on at the
time.

Here's what the films entail. Keep in mind this is just a partial list:

Select clips of the 1973 material. Mind you this is all in Digibeta, as
opposed to the original Super 8.

1) The BeatleStage at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens, New York. Not
the actual Beatles playing off, rather the exact same stage as it is being
set up for the Chicago/Beach Boys concert in the early 1970s. Again
everything listed is from the early 1970s. Just about all the ancients you
can think of played off this stage, including the incident with Jimi Hendrix
and the Monkees I believe happened on this exact same stage.

2) A house band playing 200 miles due east of the Watkins-Glen Summer Jam
(600,000 attendees) on the exact same date which is July 28, 1973.

3) First footage of one of the world's biggest businessman today.

4) The Greatest Athlete Who Ever Lived. Makes a mockery of football and
baseball. He was also the greatest in basketball, but no footage known.

5) Scenes of a summer sleep-away camp in the Northeastern United States.
Film features 100 adorable children dancing, laughing, playing etc. Also
features mind antics from teenagers and adults alike. Includes waterfront
and rowboat scenes.

6) Uncle Al, the greatest folk comedian of all time. His routines today are
still fresh and will make you laugh out loud hysterically.

7) More back of house footage from the Forest Hills Tennis Stadium. Includes
front of house doubles match and crowd shots. Also features close-up of a
human advertising mascot. Also shown are close-up clips of a Yankees legend
shaking hands with me and my camera assistant.

8) An annex to Fort Roosa in upstate New York Sullivan County, where
Woodstock took place. Fort and annex were built in 1731 and were the oldest
buildings in the county. Structure no longer exists.

9) The Macy's house on Queens Blvd in New York City. Was a tremendous news
magnet in its day. An elderly woman refused to sell this house which was
situated right next to Macy's and First National City Bank (today's
Citibank). Until the day she died no construction could take place.

10) An attractive teenager lifting weights.

11) A scene of old cars rolling in Long Island, New York. Shot from a gas
station. If you're unfamiliar with the kinds of cars permeating American
streets in 1973 you'll have to call this scene bizarre.

12) The World Trade Center under construction. Scenes include parked cars
and the surrounding areas such as Vesey street which is a tenement area as
contrasted to the WTC growing up at its feet.

This should replace awl retro films on earth, if there are any left to
replace. Everyone knows I am the only one who matters in music, and film.

There are some samples of this new-fangled telecine on California_Jam for
your viewing pleasure. Of course I cannot reveal the name of the firm until
the films are uploaded, and maybe not even then.

Fuck, when you see me from my Forest Hills days it's no wonder little
Blondie dragged me into the bushes in broad daylight and raped me there. I
am the only one who matters in film and music.
