Adrian made a clever trick on Harris. He gave Harris a contrabass
that had no real plug mechanism. Harris played very brutally, but no
matter how hard he stretched and banged the strings, the decibel
meters just didn't jump to red.

Everyone seems to have very different opinions on the sound of BNW.
I think the bass is a little too high. Some said Nicko's drums are too
low, yet I can hear them perfectly. One guy said the vocals are too high
in the mix. I disagree, i think they are a bit too low. Also, everyone
seems to have a different favourite song. This is good because it shows
the album has something for almost everybody. By the way, I think the
chorus in Thin Line is amazing.

ok, they're not too high..actually they're too low as far as sound goes.. what
i should have said (and what i meant) was they're too loud as compared to the
rest of the instruments..

see, it's not my stereo peopel!! :P
I just know bass when I hear it, & it shouldn't sound like another
guitar, like Metallica's ...And Justice For All CD. If not POM try
Powerslave or 7th. After the first minute of The Wicker Man, I started
it over because I didn't think the bass had kicked in. After trying a
few songs I realized I was listening to a Motorhead influenced bass--one
with no low & lots of high.
