A new trend has risen where big metal bands sell out to get more money. Iron
Maiden has always been a major player in the metal industry...Do you think that
they too will sell out like Metallica And Megadeth?

Personaly i think Iron Maiden is in it for the music unlike the other posers
gone MTV style. I hope that there new album is going to crush the crappy
rap/hardcore metal and bring TRUE metal back to the masses. And if they dont
crush the MTV faggot metal i dont mind, i'll keep all this wounderfull music to
myself. When i think about it the masses dont deserv such great music when they
listen to such crap as Korn, Limp Bullshit, Orgy and the rest of the rap
faggots.

What do you people think?

Fuck no, it will never happen! Unless one is the sort of person who would
call "Seventh Son..." a sellout, I just can't see anyone being able to
seriously call any Maiden album, past or future, a sellout. Maiden are going
to come back with a mega metal album, no doubt with the usual melodic and
softer moments, but I can't imagine for a minute that they would suddenly do
anything like Metallica and Megadeth have done.

All one has to do is look at Bruce's last two albums and the acclaim they
got - there is no way he's going to go back to Maiden to do some trendy lame
ass crap. He's back to kick some serious ass, and with Adrian back there
too, that's exactly what will happen! :-)

The Maiden guys are getting several million dollars A PIECE for this
reunion - GUARANTEED! You'd better believe money had something to do with
what's going on right now. But that doesn't mean they're gonna change their
style because of it. Actually, I'd be happy if they updated what they had
in the 80's instead of these longwinding, sleep-inducing 10-minutes songs
they wrote with Blaze...

I sure hope not. I don't think they will sell out, at least
not by reading various interviews with the band's members.

In the meantime, if like me you miss some real metal, check
the following: http://www.hankermetal.com

An excellent band with excellent music.

This weekend I'm going to see Drain S.T.H. and Static-X in
New London (Connecticut). I know Drain S.T.H. (I have
both albums) but only one song from Static-X. Hopefully
this will be worth the approx. 20 hours drive :-)

Up the Irons!

Too bad... anyways, I'm going there for Drain S.T.H. and
also to get out of here :-) I saw DSTH in Montreal at the
Black Sabbath concert, but I missed the beginning of the
show (and I'm still pissed.)

The question should be "will Maiden ever write a good song again?". Sell out or
not, in the name of sweet Jesus himself, I just hope they can write a God dammed
song that's worth a crap.

Yeah me too. I rather like what Bruce and Adrian had been up to
lately myself. Accident of Birth kicks ass and Chemical Wedding is a
fucking masterpiece.

It is highly unlikely that Maiden will sell out. I beleive the next album will
be absolutely crushing.........

I still remember the first time I heard maiden back in the mid 80s . I
thought they sounded like a fucken chic band. The only thing that sold
albums was the art work . Maybe I just heard the wrong songs. They have been
around a long time and still have a loyal following. But as far as I care,
they have never been good enough to sell out. They just wish they were.

I usually don't rip on people for voicing their opinions but what you
posted is sooooo fucked up. How anyone can be a metal fan & deny the
power of Maiden is beyond me!!

Like I wrote before, maybe I just didnt hear any of tyeir better songs.
Almost every metal band writes some lame shit too. Name me one of their
older most hardcore tunes and I will listen again. I may have been on crack
when I heard them. I have not bothered to give them a try in almost 15
years. I do have several old records that were given to me. So tell me
people, is it worth buying a record player to hear a SHITLOAD OF OLD
IRONMAIDEN ALBUMS?!

Dude....Iron Maiden is the creator of metal along with sabbath and Preist.
Trust me now...Irom maidens music is killer! Its metal at its trueish form!
Just listen to the cd "Number Of The Beast" and you will see what Iron Maiden
is all about. You wont regret it!

Albums? It's almost y2k! It would be much cheaper to comb the used cd
stores than to buy a turntable. I know opinions will always differ on
music & metal fans are especially harsh but I think most will agree
that Maiden helped define the genre. IM's music is definitely worth
$6-10 a pop for used cd's, hell I bought them all new & didn't think
twice about it.
Start with these:
1)Number of the Beast
2)Piece of Mind
3)Powerslave

p.s. Old vinyl on a nice turntable does have a nice feel to it though.
Happy Hunting!

They're alright, never saw them live but Wisconsin Death Trip is a pretty
catchy tune.
rates a 7 out of 10 in my book

O.K. I'll give maiden another listen. Every other old metal band is getting
to soft to really enjoy (except for seeing them live) anymore. So listening
to old maiden will be new to me. I just hope there is some good power riffs
in the music that make me want to go fucken nuts gettin down to it . untill
then Respect to IronMaiden.
(but if I still dont like them I'm gonna come back & knock them hard once or
twice. If i do like i will buy the next one) None the less- Heavy Metal
Forever- the last true music left.

If you're looking for a band that's been around for years & hasn't
gone soft & never will get Testament's The Gathering. It's balls out
from
