That is the most terrible list I have ever seen! Sinead O'Connor ahead of
November Rain? What the Hell are those monkeys thinking? A few years back MTV
did one of these (it's been a while, though they used to do it twice a year)
where November Rain was #1, so I want it explained to me how it can now be
45th. Thriller was dethroned long ago, but for some reason it reigns supreme
once again.

And where are the truly great vids? Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge" (formerly
6th all time, if I remember correctly), U2's "One" and "With or Without You,"
GNR's "Don't Cry," Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" and the one with Johhny Depp
where he's a rock star whose name I can't recall rigth now and Green Day's
"Time of Your Life", etc, etc, etc... These are all outstanding videos and
should all be represented. I haven't even heard of some of the shit on this
list, and for Christ's sake- Devo's "Whip it" makes it! What the fuck is that
all about?

I suppose I could say at least Brittany Spears and the Backstreet Boys aren't
on it, but hell, I'm not so sure they wouldn't be more deserving than some of
the crap that is. Maybe I'm mad for no reason and it's stupid for me to feel
this way, but Jeez, MTV could at least try to make a decent list. So what if
certain bands get represented way more than others. Some, like GNR, Tom Petty,
and U2, have just made a whole lot of really cool videos so if all vids are
going to be ranked they should get credit.

OK, enough of me.

MTV is fucking retarded. They only gave Aerosmith one spot!. However, the
only good thign about the list is that GNR is the only band on the list to
have 3 videos there. Metallica has 2 and aerosmith has one, unless you
count the run dmc one. Madonna and MJ deserve 3 because tey were the MTV
darlings for the past 20 years, I think GNr should have 4 all in the top 30,
like back in the old days. I remeber watching top 10 countdown every day
and Live and Let die and dont cry were always in the top 5, and sometims in
the top 3, along with nirvana and metallica.

I don't if you have/watch vh1 but they have a show called friday rock show , which
really gives gunz the respect they deserve; they play lots of their vids , they
were the only band who was twice in the monster monster rock slam (3 clips in one
show) , and also they had 5 clips (!!)
in the top 40
(november rain second to metallica's one)
8- sweet child
20-paradise city
39-don't cry
40-you could be mine

A great show indeed!

Thriller was only dethroned a couple times, the only time I remember was when
MTV's favorite talentness martyr blew his head off with a shotgun and Smells
Like Teen Spirirt was number one.

I can't be the only person out there who likes both Nirvana and Guns N' Roses,
can I?

Possibly so...

MTV is retarded... however, I'd rather see Aerosmith only make it on the list
with two spots (if we count Run DMC) than see CryinCrazyAmazing.

Amazing and Crazy were weak. Cryin's ok... of course I'm a girl so the Alicia
Silverstone factor doen't apply to me... Love in an Elevator and Livin on the
Edge are much better...

I loved Amazing. The song and the video. Better than "Love in an Elevator"
anyway.

i think we can all gree on love in an elevator, it was the first video i
remeber seeing on MTV when i was 8 years old. It was awesome. Definitely a
classic. When i first saw the video, I thought they were saying "love
velveeta"

well, November Rain was #1 a number of times. damn MTV is inconsistent.
GnR used to have almost all their videos in the top 100, now just 3,
with the reigning #1 dropping to 45. then again I remember a time the
"Informer" by Snow was in the top 5. Interesting...

No shit, so did I. For the longest time I thought that too. That's pretty
weird. Oh well, back to drinking.

I wish I knew what the criteria for the best video is because almost every
video sucks on the countdown. What is breakthrough abouta dirty looking
band playing at a pep rally-like gathering? WTF, that is just fucking
stupid. November Rain and Estranged should be 1 and 2, either one would
suffice.

smells liek teen spirit is a great video but should not be ahead of any GNR
video done before estranged. It 's ag reat video cuz it was the first realy
grunge/neo-punk/ alternative video.

Musically, I have nothing against Nirvana... I just hate Kurt Cobain.

Is the fact that we care about this list and can remember what videos used to
be ranked proof that we're total losers or just that we all have very good
memories?
