Loverboy fans: Streetheart My Space page!

If you are interested, Streetheart, sort of the precursor band to Loverboy,
now has a My Space page where you can hear five Streetheart songs from their
old albums.
Guitarist Paul Dean and drummer Matt Frenette used to be in Streetheart
before Loverboy. They both played on Streetheart's first album, Meanwhile
Back In Paris, from 1978. Then Paul Dean left the band. Matt Frenette stayed
in Streetheart for their second album, Under Heaven Over Hell, from 1979,
before leaving himself.
Streetheart were massive in western Canada. They were originally from
Regina, SK but relocated to Winnipeg, MB early in their career.

Now you Americans can finally hear Streetheart songs! (Too bad "Snow White,"
their best song, in this author's opinion, isn't there.)
Of the five songs on the My Space page:
"Hollywood" is from their second album, Under Heaven Over Hell, so it has
Matt drumming on it. Paul had already left the band by this time, as talked
about above.
"Under My Thumb" was originally a single release only following the first
album's release. It gives the Streetheart treatment to the Rolling Stones'
classic. Both Paul and Matt played on it. When the second album first came
out the song wasn't on it, but time proved it to be so popular that the
second album was rereleased with "Under My Thumb" on it.
"Action" is a live version from the 1983 Live After Dark album. The studio
version, if it was here, is from their first album.
The remaining two, "What Kind Of Love Is This" and "Miss Plaza Suite" are
from the band's self-titled fifth studio album, Streetheart, which was their
best selling album. That album was released in 1982, as Loverboy had become
huge stars. They had a big hit in western Canada with "What Kind Of Love Is
This."
And, of course, Spider Sinneave, who is now in Loverboy (Scott Smith's
replacement), plays bass on everything.
Streetheart had numerous guitar and drums personnel changes over the years,
but the rest of the band were the band's mainstays who stayed for the entire
1978-1984 duration: singer Kenny Shields, bass player Spider Sinneave, and
keyboardist Daryl Gutheil.

record company, live versions of those songs were used instead.)
