'I'm a Rebel' Question

I'm sure I'm not the only one who was disappointed that 'I'm a Rebel'
isn't gonna be on the 'Backtracks' collection.
Then I got to thinking about Accept's version of the song.
My question is this: The song has never been released by AC/DC so how
did Accept know the lyrics? They come across it in their circle or what?
Forgive me if this has already been discussed here : )

'I'm a Rebel' wasn't written by AC/DC but rather by I believe Stevie
Young... who I believe replaced Malcolm on the Blow Up Your Video tour
and had a band named the Starfighters.
That song doesn't have the history of the three versions of "Heart
of a Lion" written by Halford/Downing/Tipton with the three being the
version released by Racer X since Rob Halford is a big fan of theirs
and the band that current drummer Scott Travis was with, then by
Halford on his Live Insurrection double live album (though not live),
and finally the "original" version from the Judas Priest Turbo/Ram It
Down days that they felt didn't fit in with either album. Another two
songs from this time period was Prisoner of Your Eyes with a short
version (released on Halford's Live Insurrection) and long version
(released on the remastered Screaming for Vengeance) and to me is a
song that should have been played live; then there's Red, White and
Blue that was released on the remastered British Steel album.

I believe he knew the guy who was producing Accept's 2nd album. The record
company were pressuring Accept for a radio friendly single and so they were
offered the song.

Yeah, and AC/DC recorded it in Germany, but what is unclear is wether it was
recorded as a favour to Alex or wether it was always intended to be given
away.

I stand corrected... but hey, at least I admit it! Big thanks to :)
and Goulash. Goulash (BTW, I've been asking co-workers and other
Offices at my workplace for many years for Ghoulish Goulash to be
served at a Halloween party... but sadly, still waiting.. maybe
they're serve it when I retire!), probably too late to ask but if you
make contact with AC/DC before they tour Australia, maybe ask them to
ask the Government of Australia to ensure no kids get caned just
because their siblings or relatives become somewhat-big rock group
members. It isn't fair to innocent kids to get caned.
Also, AC/DC should ask for an apology from Australia's parliament
concerning the
"AC/DC causing kids to get tattooed" issue from early in their career.
