OK, now I'm starting to like Strap It On.

p.s. I'm still trying to figure out if you meant "revealed" or "reviled".
Either one would work.

I can see it now. the front of a train rolling down the tracks more than
likely going off the tracks with Angus top of the train.

They could use "strap it on" and have Angus on a Swedish 12 incher strap on
in some funky neon colour. With spurs of course.

Suddenly "Stiff Upper Lip" doesn't seem so bad.

That's just great. It sounds like shit already. And I was a big enough
moron to hope for a decent product at this juncture. At least there will be
a tour.

Black Ice. "Gee, let's do something similar in title to BIB, if I recall we
made a few bucks on that one. The kids will eat it up!"

Runaway Train; Even worse. I'm sorry, but there is nothing that even
remotely makes me envision the band powering full steam down the tracks of
super stardom and an epic release looming. Maybe they should call it
'Rusting Hulk Of An Old Locomotive,'

Sorry Mal, Ang, no offense, really.

Black Ice?

Vanilla Ice's long-lost African American cousin.

Moron seems fitting for someone who jugdes songs from the title,
without even hearing a single note.

Relax.

I think his point is that if you can't even come up with a good title, what
are the odds you wrote good songs. Are there any classic albums with titles
as dumb as that one?

Personally, I don't believe the information anyway. It won't be called Black
Ice.

You've got a good point on you head. Though, more like disgust on my part
given the crap they have put out post FOTW. And yes, I liked FOTW despite
the production. I will take it over a total POS album like Ballbreaker any
day. I don't care if the new album is "full of fury" or not. I don't care
if the production is clean or not. I dont care of BJ sounds like he did on
BIB or if he shouns like a broken garbage disposal. I just hope for f*ck
sake that it is slick, has a good hook and is entertaining. If you want
boring minimalist crap go see the worst of your local garage bands. I'd like
entertainment worthy of the AC/DC brand for a f*cking change. Still... Your
absolutely correct... "Black Ice" could be the name of a great song. My
bad.

The fourth choice is to make it the soundtrack to a Civil War-themed skating
show entitled "Runaway Blacks On Ice."

With "Runaway Train", almost sounds like a Bon Jovi tune ("Hellbound
Train") or Ozzy song ("Crazy Train") and for some reason, I keep
thinking of a Led Zeppelin song such as the ending of "Whole Lotta
Love", all three of which I can't picture AC/DC doing.
"Black Ice" presumably isn't a notion to the William Gibson novel
Neuromancer in which Gibson coins the term 'cyberspace'... unless this
is supposed to be some kind of sequel song to the "Cyberspace" song
off of the Australian Stiff Upper Lip Tour Edition 2-CD set.
Give me a good 2-year tour like they did in 2000-2001 and I'll be
happy.
There's Gonna Be Some Rockin'...
P.S. It would be nice if the setlist contains some stuff they've never
done live before such as Can't Stand Still, Give It Up, Evil Walks
(did they ever do this one live?), Shake a Leg (and this one?), and
the like.

Have Led Zeppelin ever come up with a decent titel? Yet it hasn't
stopped them to release at least a few decent songs and albums. And
staying with AC/DC, what would you think about songtitles like R'n'R
Singer, The Jack, You shook me all night long, There's gonna be some
rockin', Flick of the switch etc. if you hadn't heard the actual
songs. It's not like they are that much better than Runaway Train or
Black Ice. To be honest, I don't like both of 'em that much. Black Ice
sounds a bit like a 80's Hair Metal song and Runaway Train, though
beeing a good title IMO, was a song 90's one-hit-wonder Soul Asylum.

Well I care how Brian Johnson sounds. But given his few recent public
performances I don't think he will sound anything else than fine. And
I care about the production. Soundwise something like BIB (still the
benchmark for any hardrock-album) would be great. A good AC/DC-album
is also depending on it's sound. Albums like FOTW, BUYV or TRE could
be so much better if they sounded like BIB, HTH, Powerage or even SUL.
But a good sound still does not make a great album (see BB and SUL).

The most important thing is, that they put some effort into writing
and arranging the songs (they had 8 years for that). SUL showed that
Young & Young can still pull out riffs, that few other bands can
match. But if those riffs are not put into songs with proper
arrangements, then they are not worth much. And I hope Brian has
written the lyrics, because on SUL they were a real pain in the ass.

Yeah, Black Ice can be the title of either a great or a bad song, only
time will tell. I don't like the title itself that much. It kinda
remeinds me of 80's hair metal as.

"Runaway Train" automatically reminds me of the Soul Asylum song when
I would prefer it bring to mind the Nine Pound Hammer song of the same
name. Black Ice sounds like a frozen precipitation version of Ozzy's
"Black Rain."

The bright side is that neither sound as bad as "Love Bomb."
