http://musicismusic.blogspot.com/2008/01/free-speech-for-who.html
i'm mad as hell and i must spew a rant about it right now:
what is freedom of speech?
should it be filtered? approved? what if you wanted to be President of the
United States and someone forced you to SHUT UP because they didn't think
you could win? at last nite's democratic debate in Las Vegas, MSNBC
successfully banned presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich from
participating.
News items: MSNBC, NYTimes, LasVegasSun, YaHoo, BestSyndy, LATimes, Wonk'd
view, a Huff post
a lawyer for NBC Universal said:
"Mr. Kucinich's claim ... undermines the wide journalistic freedoms enjoyed
by news organizations under the First Amendment"
who is protecting the first amendment here? NBC? keeping Dennis Kucinich out
of this broadcast gave us a "safe debate". all nice and kissy-kissy. no real
bickering. basically, NO DIFFERENCES AT ALL!!! is this what America needs?
three versions of the same "change" (notice use of buzz word). Obama,
Clinton, and Edwards are essentially 3 shades of the same color. they are
almost the same person. and they are usually fighting like spoiled little
children while Kucinich talks about real issues. kinda like this:
--
---
i thought the democrats were a party. not a committee. having only 3
candidates gives us a committee. it is irrelevant whether or not Dennis
Kucinich "can" win the nomination or the general election. its not up to NBC
to decide that. it is supposed to be a decision made by the voters. there
has only been a small number of delegates won so far. it is still
conceivable that Kucinich could get the nomination. if this was a golf game,
only the top three players would get to play beyond the first round.
maybe some people wonder if corporations really are taking over our country.
this is a perfect example of what can happen. NBC Universal, General
Electric (owns NBC) and MicroSoft and all of their sponsors for tonite's
debate and THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY have suppressed free speech. for real. it
happened. just look at the whole thing objectively and it couldn't be more
clear. those corporations decided own their own that Dennis Kucinich
shouldn't have a voice in this debate. Kucinich's message is fervently
anti-war and anti-nuclear. THAT doesn't jive with the GE agenda!!
hey Keith-O, here are some nominations for your WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD:
NBC Universal
Democratic Party
Nevada Supreme Court
hands down winner..... NBC
the democrats are supposed to be looking out for the people. unless you live
in Michigan. their boycott of the michigan primaries is a big DISS to the
people who live there. it tells them that they don't count. it lets
barack-hillary-john skip the difficult issues in michigan. again they played
it safe.
how many ways can the democrats screw this up? the past two presidential
elections were complete screw-ups by dems. Al Gore "lost" because he
wouldn't take help from Bill Clinton (still the most popular democrat
around). then John Kerry had to go easy on criticizing DUBYA, "the worst
president in history". that's pathetic. as for Congress, the dems are in
control in theory only. i think voters had different expectations about
"action" when they voted in the mid-year elections. and it seems the dems
aren't paying attention. now the dems are ignoring entire states and
suppressing different views within its own party. these mistakes just add to
the long list of ways to lose another presidential election.
find out for yourself what Dennis Kucinich stands for....
here is his official website
more info on Kucinich @ USHouse, Congressional bio, wiki, CNN, his hotwife
Dennis and Elizabeth Kucinich
now here is some kick ass rock and roll because somebody needs to be
slapped...
