As for me being a "bit player at best" in Patrick's firing is Patrick not
wanting to admit I got him fired! Rice University's own security department
under Rice President (at the time) Malcolm Gillis contacted me and asked for
headers showing the dates and times of Patrick's stalkings. They investigated
and not too much later Patrick was fired! Patrick violated his employee's policy
regarding Rice University's computer facilities as shown here:

The unauthorized use of resources is prohibited and, in many cases, may be
violations of the law. We are guided by the law in noting that
unauthorized use includes, but is not limited to the following types of
activities.
Harassment or threats to specific individuals, or a class of individuals:

Questions Relating to This Policy
The examples of unauthorized use set forth above are not meant to be
