Similar sorts of things happen in other areas that try to closely observe
religious strictures.
For example, recently in a country that tries to adhere to Islamic law, a
woman was sentenced to 40 lashes for a hideous crime - wearing pants. And
a couple of years ago, Iranian police attacked and beat women in the street
for not adhering to a dress code.
It tells us - but apparently not you - something about you that you only
notice that the residents of an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood acted this way.
When it's the policy of an entire country, you say nothing.
