To protect yourself from scam artists (or worse) there's one main
rule: Don't trust any anonymous posters. If they won't identify
themselves and allow you to examine their real life and history,
then you can't believe anything they say.
Right now on alt.religion.wicca you are seeing an anonymous
poster named "ren" supposedly entering the dreams of another
anonymous poster named "Damaeus" and helping him get his head
together.
This is a cheap con game. They are both the "sockpuppets" of
the same, anonymous, person.
Despite his attempts to convince people that he's
computer/internet/usenet illiterate, "ren" clearly has a good
deal of expertise in this area:

As for his ability to enter people's dreams, that's garbage.
I dream about where I live all the time and where I live
is obviously America.
Yet "ren" has to ask me this question:

(There are many more examples of him asking me questions on this
group that he wouldn't have to ask if had any psychic abilities

He will probably say that he doesn't enter people's dreams
without their permission, but that's another lie. He clearly
has no scruples or morals at all. Here's an article where he
threatens to scramble someone's brains for relatively minor
actions:
"Hire a private investigator to find out more about me, harass me by
telephone, email me, you're swimming in deep and dangerous water. I
will scramble your brains and keep you posting to serve as an
example."

Note that what really bothers him above is being investigated. This
is a recurring theme in his articles: The idea of anyone investigating
him sends him right over the edge.
He REALLY doesn't want anyone knowing who he really is.
For the simple reason that he's a complete fraud.
(Anyone who can enter other people's dreams can do it whether
they like it or not, unless the intended victims are accomplished
lucid dreamers too and are stronger than the person attempting to
enter their dreams. A skilled lucid dreamer can enter another's
dreams without them even being aware of it.)
I could easily post many other examples of "ren" engaging in
ammoral and/or unethical behavior. If he could enter people's
dreams he'd do it all the time without a qualm. He's obviously

This is yet another case of you using another as your mirror and not
liking what you see. How will you "prove" that he is a pathological
liar? In order to do that, we would have to first believe that you

That you even think of dreams in this way is comical. Dreams are
personal. Seeing another person in your dreams does not mean the person
was actually there. Anybody who appears in a dream is nothing but dream
symbolism.
