JUDGEMENT 44

Ex 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect:

My comments:

The word for “be circumspect” has the meaning “to guard” or “to observe”. It means to be careful, look after, keep in good condition, preserve, and watch.

Be careful and diligent so you don`t turn to false ways.

Deuteronomy 11:16 But take care that your hearts are not turned to false ways so that you become servants and worshippers of other gods;

Keep the true laws God has given us, don`t add on pointless rules (some may wrongly use the term “legalism” for this), but don`t take away from God`s real laws.

Deuteronomy 12:32 You are to keep with care all the words I give you, making no addition to them and taking nothing from them.

Preserve the oracles of God – the calendar – don`t let Abib, the first month of the year, slip back into winter – keep it in the spring.

Deuteronomy 16:1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God:

Birds know when to migrate but Israel doesn`t know the times of the harvest festivals of God.

Jeremiah 8:7 Truly, the stork in the heavens is conscious of her fixed times; the dove and the swallow and the crane keep to the times of their coming; but my people have no knowledge of the law of the Lord.

Follow every detail of God`s commandments as correctly taught by the Levites:

Deuteronomy 24:8 In connection with the leper’s disease, take care to keep and do every detail of the teaching of the priests, the Levites: as I gave them orders, so you are to do. (BBE)

Learn and know the Book of the Law and meditate on it.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Monuments were to be erected to mark revelations from God.

The Levites who were the sons of Zadok kept God`s ordinances and oracles correctly even when Israel stopped keeping God`s laws. These Levites still kept the calendar and other laws correctly at the time of Christ:

Ezekiel 44:15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:

God asked Joshua the high priest, at the time of the rebuilding of the temple after the captivity, to keep his charge – his calender, his oracles:

Zechariah 3:6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.

And who should preserve God`s knowledge and law? The priests should:

Malachi 2:7 For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

The scribes and Pharisees at the time of Christ observed the calendar correctly, and Christ told his disciples to follow what they said:

Matthew 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

We should hold fast to the true things we have been taught:

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast , and repent.

God`s commandments, oracles and laws must be preserved and kept until the end of this age and taught to all nations:

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

And all nations will be taught these truths which had been guarded and preserved by the priests and the church:

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
