I was going to recommend this as a starter reader for Operation Freakout,
but it seems to have disappeared from the Agoravox site. (No error message,
but no article.)

The Scandal behind "The Scandal of Scientology" January 23, 2008, Paulette
Cooper, Agoravox
http://www.agoravox.com/article.php3?id_article=7562

(I don't know if this has been updated from the version on Ms. Cooper's
site, but it did have an easier to read layout.)

Google cache:

Searching on Scientology brings up articles and CoS PR poop as far back as
May of last year, so I don't see why they'd drop this excellent one after a
week.

Very strange, especially that if I type in manually the number of the
article at the end of the URL, and try prior id (7560, 7559, etc.),
these articles are still hosted.

Yes, forgot to mention that one too. With the hyperlinks and pictures, it's
the best one to point people to for a hair-raising introduction to CoS's
stop-at-nothing dirty tricks policies that have *never* gone away. From a
brief scan, I don't see any updates in the Agoravox version--still, it would
be nice to know why it vanished from that site.

The one on lermanet, paulette and I worked on for days, and it is not
quite the same as
the magazine article, with some fluff removed and additional details
added,
this one was reworked just for the net, with links from unfamiliar
keywords so non intiates could understand it.

Her original one was written for the public of the magazine
