"...While he liked to model his behavior on his political hero, Simon
Bolivar, the South American independence leader, Miscavige ruled by
fear, gaining a reputation for verbally demeaning subordinates and
even hitting them, publicly slapping--never punching--those whom he
felt had offended him. Some he spat on, a sign of contempt and disdain
initially encourage by Hubbard. In sworn declaration in several
lawsuits, he has been accused of striking subordinates."
"Guy White, Hubbard's son-in-law, came in for this treatment one
evening when Miscavige and others accused him of committing "crimes."
Miscavige ripped the lanyards from his uniform, spat on him, and
slapped his face..."
I suspect, then, that DM is gonna lose more sleep over this book even
than tom.
I'm sure that there was a collective sigh of relief when both Tom and
his cult found out what was in the book.
Let me make a prediction: Andrew Morton and his publisher will not be
sued over this book. I haven't found one new thing in this book that I
didn't already know except for the names of Cruise's boyhood friends...
and I skipped over that.
Andrew Morton didn't write the book just for you.

That's my prediction too. Doing so could only result in even more PR damage
than has already been done, regardless of the legal outcome. But we are
talking about Scientologists here, so we cannot assume that they will do
the sensible thing.

Getting a summary of long-known facts about Scientology into the hands of a
couple of millions of previously non-inoculated wogs cannot be a bad thing.
They will not sue because the lessons have been learned, more unwanted
scrutiny would come out with a lawsuit. Remember Fishman, and all the
affidavits that came out, etc.
Ray.

One minor but I think important correction to what was written above
in the bio:
It is not actually true that Miscavige never punched anyone. I
actually saw him punch one top WDC member right in the mouth. He also
slapped another and choked yet another one in that room.
I assume that whoever told Morton the bit about Miscavige not punching
anyone actually never saw him do it but I have.
Just wanted to set this straight! Stay tuned for a lot more info as I
have a feeling that all this is just the tip of the iceberg of what is
about to be exposed..

Larry, thanks for speaking out. Bullying stops working only when
everybody stands up and say "Enough!"
Ray.
Or when everybody stands shoulder to shoulder, surrounding the bully and
tapping sawed-off baseball bats into their palms.
Now, I'd buy that for a dollah!
Larry,
I agree, and I hope this error provokes those who've been punched to
publicly CORRECT this statement and flush out the truth that it's
actually worse!
