Over 5200 Concerned Adults Refuse to Comply with New Freedom Initiative for Mental Health
Screening in the Schools
5200 people from all over the country and even from other countries have signed up to
oppose President Bush's New Freedom Commission's plan to screen every child in United
States schools for "mental illness." These citizens have joined together in the following
statement: "We, the undersigned, solemnly declare that we will not allow our children to
be the subjects of any form of implementation of New Freedom Commission recommendations to
screen our children for signs of 'mental illness.'"

Over 5000 people from all over the country and even from other countries have now signed
up to oppose the President Bush's New Freedom Commission's plan to screen every child in
United States schools for "mental illness," and get as many as possible on expensive,
dangerous psychiatric drugs, in order to profit some of the primary contributors to his
presidential campaign. Voices from all over America are being heard, saying "We promise to
actively resist further intrusion of psychiatry into the public schools, and will not
cooperate in any way with those who act as agents of this wrong-headed government
initiative.
We do not now and will not later consent to the psychiatric or psychological testing of
our children by those who act as agents to implement New Freedom recommendations for
universal mental health screening of our children." Republicans and Democrats, Green Party
and Libertarians and people with no political affiliation alike are all raising a cry to
say that this plan will NOT go into effect.
U.S. Representative Ron Paul is fighting in Congress to stop funding for children's mental
health screening, and is the sponsoring author of HR 5236, a bill called "Let Parents
Raise Their Kids," which will deny funding for any mandatory mental health screening in
the schools. Paul declared that "Parents must do everything possible to retain
responsibility and control over their children's well-being. The federal government is
slowly but surely destroying real families, but it is hardly a benevolent surrogate
parent."
John Breeding, PhD, director of Texans for Safe Education (www.wildestcolts.org), a
citizens group which sponsors the Declaration of refusal along with Parents for a Label
and Drug Free Education, states that "Far more people are upset with the President for
this plan than his margin of victory in Florida which gave him the election in 2000. I
have rarely seen such a bipartisan outpouring of dissent. Parents everywhere are drawing

rapidly), show the widespread support and decision to thwart the intentional and flagrant
disregard of human rights inherent in universal mental health screening. We invite all
parents and anyone concerned with protecting our children and families to join us by

Alex Jones promotes Dr. John Breeding on his infowars.com website and sells two of his
books. Dr. Breeding is a psychologist who warns about the dangers of giving children
Ritalin and other dangerous drugs and offers alternatives. The alternatives spring forth
from Scientology and are spiritually dangerous.
Dr. Breeding is definitely affiliated with the "church" of Scientology. Breeding quotes
Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard in his book, The Wildest Colts Make the Best Horses and
his website links to the Scientology front group, Citizens' Commission on Human Rights.
Indeed, Dr. Breeding calls this powerful force for Scientology "an awesome organization."

awarded Dr. Breeding for his work with the Texas State Board of Education:

for problems of attention and learning.

It is an important matter that the Scientology connection be shared with those drawn into
the "ablechild movement" making an awareness that the group supporting "Children's
Medication Safety Act" and against "President Bush's New Freedom Commission's "Initiative
for Mental Health Screening" or any of the CCHR's hate agenda is led by $cientology, the
same group leading the lobby selfishly for their own religious exemptioned contracts to
not be medically treated at all - with the effect such as Lisa McPherson or now, Terri
Shindler Schiavo.
