There is one phenomenon that I have noticed generally, in that both $cientology and
AIPAC both call those who criticize the organization "anti-Semites." I don't approach
this issue to stir racial hostility but more for informational purposes.
Here are two political officials who have had relationships with both entities:
Cynthia McKinney helped to fight for $cientology's German human rights

It now seems, according to the Church of Scientology's own magazine "Freedom Magazine",
that the connection betwix Ms. McKinney and Mr. Hayes is not only one of race. She is
quoted in an article on Germany's treatment of Aaaaarteeests who also happen to be
Scientologists.
Such events and conditions have prompted concern and outrage from many U.S. Congressmen
and officials including U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) of the Congressional Arts
Caucus, who urged the State Department to make the â?oplight of American and German
Scientologists in the Federal Republic of Germanyâ?ť a top priority for the State
Departmentâ?Ts Advisory Committee on Religious Freedom Abroad. â?oA particularly
disturbing trend is the pattern and practice of discrimination against artists,
particularly American artists who happen to be Scientologists. ...[T]he German
government has been a willing and active participant in the creation of an atmosphere
of intolerance.â?ť
Now, I am not completely absolving the German government who still does work against
some religion; but, Scientology is a predatory cult who spins tales of fantasy to their
members for ever-increasing sums of cash. Also, if you try to leave the cult, and
therefor dry up some of their funds, they make it very difficult. The "Church" deserves
this treatment from the German Gov since the Scientologists prey on the citizenry.
But was quite active in her stance about AIPAC

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has also helped $cientology fight for German Human Rights

LEGISLATOR SUPPORTING SCIENTOLOGY'S INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION
Scientology has been attempting to gain legal religious recognition in various
countries, to cloak their questionable practices in the guise of religion. Germany and
France are rightfully suspicious of Scientology and have not granted them any special
status. In fact, in Europe Scientology is commonly acknowledged as a mind control
cult. They have lobbied U.S. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who is furthering
their efforts.
From an August, 2003 newsletter, International Scientology News Issue 25:
"...Among them is US Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida. As chairperson of
the International Operations and Human Rights Subcommittee, she held a congressional
hearing into religious intolerance in Germany and France. After hearing testimony from
Catherine Bell and Isaac Hayes, the Congresswoman wanted to know more about Scientology
and traveled to Los Angeles, touring our churches and ABLE International and commending
the church for "incredible service to the community, including the saving of lives
through drug rehabilitation." )
And a major recipient of AIPAC funds

Anyone else notice political officials who have a relationships (in one way or another)
with $cientology and AIPAC?
