UK psychiatrists: big decision!

Perhaps this has already been written somewhere (I've software probs
since some days).

UK Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCP) which is the english authority
establishing the education's programs for psychiatry, has just forbidden
its members the practice of asking their patients about sexual abuses
they could have had in childhood.

This decision has been taken after the fact that several people having
been psychoanalysed, hypnosed, or having had psychotherapeutic
sessions, had then wrongly sued supposed abusers, provoking a lot of
disturbances and wrong suits.

The best known case is the Beth Rutherford's case, a young person
having accused her father of this crime, as well as accusing him of
having performed or asked her to perform two abortions, but later
medically discovered as being still a virgin having had no sexual
relationship at all.

Extrapolating from this could as well lead to forbid legally
scientologists to practice their methods of what they are calling
"confessions" and other ethic's cycles.

Can I add that i'm knowing personally somebody having accused someone
(his/her father) of being guilty of this crime, and that it was an
obvious impossibility, for i have some details about the affair?

This fact alone, while I was still a clam, casted some doubts upon the
"pc" - but i did not thought then to doubt of the tech, because the tech
asked :
A/ not to evaluate
B/not to invalidate
C/ gave some technical "reasons" for this sort of thing (like: the case
was a dub-in case).

Is it possible for someone in GB (Roland?) to keep an eye on this RCP's
decision, and to ask some precisions about how to make it mandatory for
scientology as well?
