(Why does the name of my landlord have anything to do with the topic which you
keep evading?)

Speaking of DUMPS here is what is written about the low rent district slum you

Chestnut Hell Apartments

This is the worst place I have ever rented in my f***ing life. The neighbors are
extremely noisy. I have had to call the police at least every night for the last
month to complain about the noise. Every night the residents trash the pool area
and throw trash outside their windows. The apartment complex looks like a dump.
Oh and when it rains dont even bother getting inside these apartments because
you will be forced to submerge you car through 3 feet of water just to get
inside your home. The office never opens the side floodgates like they are
supposing to. We have drug dealers and hookers wandering around the complex
starting fistfights. My child is never allowed to play outside now b/c
management has allowed registered sex offenders move in. Oh and if something is
broken dont even bother asking them to fix it b/c they wont. They are so sweet
when it comes time to sign the lease but once you move in they dont give a rats
ass. These people dont have to live in this environment, so they dont care. But
I do, I would strongly advise that no one move into these apartments. <end>

DON'T MOVE IN!
From: -Anonymous-

My husband and I lived there for 3 years and it was hell. First of all the drug
population is huge and very obvious. We would receive notices of our neighbors
being mugged, robbed, and raped monthly. If you want to see boxing matches, just
stand outside and see the numerous fights that erupted there. The police were a
familar sight. There is a big problem with people renting one bedrooms and then
moving in all their relatives. One of our neighbors had 6 adults and 2 children
in a one bedroom. We reported this and the manager said she couldn't do anything
about it. My husband once came home early from work and was in the bathroom when
a unknown woman opened our door with a KEY! We called the police and then the
leasing office. The leasing agent acted bothered and said we couldn't have our
locks changed. We talked to the policeman who advised the leasing agent that she
must change our locks if a report was filed. The staff in the office are
unprofessional and lazy. They are nice to you when you're signing a lease or
renewing it. In the years we lived there,we went through 6 managers. I guess
that answers why they are so disorganized. The women who work in the office are
not concerned with helping residents and they always seemed bothered when you
approach them. I think they don't care because the property is so big and so
much is going on that they just shut out what they want to.The location of the
property is horrible. There is a nursing home across the street and the
ambulance is called daily with the blaring sirens at all hours of the night.
There are 3 different bus lines that run right in front and you can hear the
noise all night long. I had a hard time getting use to the noise. As for the
conditions of the apartments, it's bad. There is alot of mold behind the walls
and if you live on the 2nd or 3rd floor the floors are unstable. The walls are
all patched up because the apartments are all shifting. Busted pipes were a
common problems. By the why, Bellerive Drive should be called Lake Bellerive
with even the slightest rain. This includes the front parking lots. The
maintenance men have to open all the gates so you can find a way to your
apartment without drowning. The property also boasts about secured gates with a
attendant. Well, these people who are in the booth are usually on the phone and
let cars in that don't have the required sticker. Sometimes the leave the gate
wide open and no one is in the booth.I do not suggest anyone move to this
apartments. It is a very dangerous place to live. Also, you lose all of your
deposit. <end>

Ghetto

In the 13 months I lived here I was attacked by a stranger, my car was stolen,
my truck was broken into twice, and numerous maintenance problems with the unit
I lived in. The staff are rude, lazy, and very unhelpful. The accountant is the
worst of them all.

They boast about security gates, but that doesn't matter when most of the people
committing the crimes live inside of the gate. Lots of drug activity and
prostitution.

There is a lot of noise. The staff will not do anything about people who listen
to loud music. They will tell you that they can't do anything about it.

I wouldn't recommend Chestnut Hill for single women or families because this
area is unsafe.

<end>:

That's twice that drug activity and prostitution are taking place at Patrick's
dump!

Dangerous place

I got held-up at gunpoint last Valentine's day in the parking lot. A month later
my car was broken into. The complex management wouldn't let me break lease so
I'm stuck there til the end of this year (12 mo lease). Once you've had a gun to
your head, life is never the same again. I don't feel safe walking outside by
myself. I'm so paranoid to the point of moving to a safer place while still
paying rent at this place (it's now my expensive storage unit) until the lease
runs out. The place is filthy and unsafe. Don't get hooked by the attractive
lease unless you're willing to compromise safety.

The apartments at Chestnut Hill are pretty good if your back is against the wall
and are looking for a place stay for a short term. I was in the process of going
through a divorce and unemployment. The apartments were cheap and easy to get
into.

The units are pretty clean and the appliances are functional. Downside, the
apartments are in the hood and it is pretty unsafe. The Houston PD visits the
property 3 to 4 nights a week (Helicopters have bright lights).

For a short term stay, I would recommend this property. If you have children,
value your life or need a place to stay longer than 6 months, avoid this place!

Patrick both you and your wife work and is the above dump the best two wage
earners can do? You have no room to ever talk about other people living in
dumps!

below average for Houston, Texas. IOW Patrick Lee Humphrey is in a low rent
district with crack smokers, ho's, pimps, and gangstas among other criminal
elements.>>
