internet and turfed her from the library internet access. She and her
little prepubescent friend, Richard Scoville of freepseechstore infamy
were like peas in a pod and relished their roles as spreaders of lies
and libel throughoout the internet. Scoville will be the next scourge
of the internet to be brought down as a result of the libel he posts on
his website and throughout USENET.
Of course, Scoville charges for his version of free speech and Babs was
only too willing to go along with the racket... maybe she received a
commission from Dick for her assistance.
Long live free speech... real free speech, not Scoville's version...

Friends, if you're looking for other websites to post your bad experiences
with companies, be VERY careful if you post anything on
"freespeechstore.com". Our company received an e-mail alert from this
website stating that someone had complained about our business. THIS IS
WHERE IT GETS REALLY WEIRD.
I pulled up the website, and sure enough, a nameless person posted a
complaint about our company. We work hard to please our customers, and we
offer a full refund if they're the LEAST bit satisfied. NOW THIS IS WHERE IT
GET'S EVEN MORE WIERD.
I could not access the full complaint from this nameless person unless I
agreed to give my credit card number over the internet. Yep, I had to pay
$3.99 for the privilege of seeing what was said about our firm. I was
skeptical, so I e-mailed the freespeechstore.com people and asked them to
let me know more about their operation. No response.
The next day, I sent another e-mail to them - no response. I did some
checking and found the "registered owner's name" for the website. I sent a
polite e-mail to the person listed, and within a few minutes I received a
hateful reply telling me that I was a "loser" for not paying with my credit
card to get more info.
THINK THAT'S AS WIERD AS IT GETS? I did even more checking on the listed
owner's "name" and found it was Margaret Morice. Upon doing a Yahoo search,
I found numerous complaints about "Margaret Morice" and discovered that the
Morice name is an alias and that the REAL owner of the website is supposed
to be a Mr. Richard Morton Scoville of San Antonio. Mr. Scoville is
apparently a known internet scam artist, spam-mailer, and much more
including telephone harrassment, criminal behavior and more and more.
So, here's the bottom line. If you are unhappy with a company you did
business with, report them here to ripoffreport.com and give the company an
opportunity to respond and make it right. There's two sides to every story
and neither side should be for sale, especially with someone of
"questionable character" like this Scoville guy and his absurd site called
"freespeechstore.com". BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR CREDIT CARD
NUMBER!
We are in the process of turning him and his business over to the local,
state and national authorities.

Note that FreeSpeechWhore will violate his stated privacy policy by posting
the IP address used to connect his page as well as anything else he can
gleen from his web server logs of your access. (I have no idea if he probes
back for open ports. I don't even log that these days, just drop it at the
border. Hmm, it's been ages since I checked for good ole 7:42 Zombie
Charlie.)
Did anyone check to see if Google has a cache of that page? Knowing his
mentality, he wants maximum search engine ranking and lets Google's bot have
free access. (Some sites are extremely trusting of the User-Agent string in
HTTP requests, btw.)
I think his fixation with the SPEWS spam list began when he started his
scam. He probably tried to spam email saying "Someone has posted something
about you", directing them to freespeechstore and expecting them all to pay
to sign up and read it. That would have quickly got him blocked by a number
of lists, but since SPEWS is nameless, faceless, and doesn't argue, it's the
focus of his spasms.
Babs probably gets complementary kook access.

Attention Ms. Nancy Tessman, Mr. Chip Ward, Mr. Robert Payne and Mr. M.
Petersen of the UEN:
This is a response to the letter of Salt Lake City Library Director
Nancy Tessman, dated October 21, 2005. (See copy of letter attached
below) This is also a request for records from the library, the UEN and
the University of Utah. Please acknowledge the receipt of this message.
I received your letter and for the records, I am Ms. Schwarz, and not
Barbara, for you.
Ms. Tessman wrote that the library (or UEN) investigated a number of
complaints related to my use of library Internet resources.
Under Utah's state records laws, I request a copy of these complaints
and the correspondence of the library on these with the complaint
makers, the UEN, the University of Utah and anybody else. I requested
already several months ago copies of the complaints to the library
under this law but was not provided with them. I just had a chance to
see some complaints to the UEN in the Office of General Counsel of the
University of Utah. But the complaints to the library were withheld
from me.
Under the GRAMA records law, I am entitled to a copy of these
complaints.
Ms. Tessman wrote that my "behavior" and "use" of the library Internet
resources would be in violation of policies of the library's Internet
use policy. Ms. Tessman failed of course to define that "behavior" and
failed to explain which policy or which part was allegedly and exactly
violated. Fact is, nothing is wrong with my behavior, and I don't
violate law nor the library Internet use policy.
Ms. Tessman wrote that I am not more allowed to use the computers at
any library, which is a violation of the statutes of the library and
state and federal laws. The library pledged to be open for all members
of the community not just these who are preferred by Ms. Tessman. The
decision is unconstitutional as my freedom of speech and my right to
educate myself through the Internet is being denied my Ms. Tessman.
Ms. Tessman wrote that on a number of occasions I was warned that my
excessive postings of unsolicited e-mail and bulk mail has generated
complaints.
This is not true. I was not approached by any employee of the Salt Lake
Library in regards of e-mail. Mr. Chip Ward ONLY talked to me on a few
occasions about posting on Usenet.
The facts are I DON'T MAIL UNSOLICITED E-MAIL AND BULK MAIL AND I DON'T
POST THESE. The library and the University of Utah and perhaps also
the UEN are making these things up to cover that they are intolerant
and censor my right of free speech on Usenet.
Under GRAMA, I request EVIDENCE by the library and the other just named
that I indeed mailed and posted unsolicited e-mail and bulk mail.
In earlier years, I mailed requests for records to agencies and that
was/is covered by the law. The library can't strip me of my rights of
Internet access of these requests. Moreover, I have not mailed requests
for records since April 2004 . If my mailing of requests for records
was such a problem for the library or the UEN, how come nobody ever
approached me earlier on it? Mr. Ward and Ms. Tessman or the UEN never
approached me before I posted on Usenet, and they never told me that
filing requests for records would violate library policies.
The library is dishonest, and they conceal the real reason why they
deny Internet use to me. Mr. Chip Ward can confirm that the sentence:
"On a number of occasions, we have warned you that your excessive
postings of unsolicited e-mail and bulk mail has generated complaints."
is everything but true.
I spoke with Chip Ward three times. During one of these talks, Ms.
Tessman was present. In the first meeting, Mr. Ward told me that he got
a number of complaints from some people, e.g. that a guy from Australia
(Robert Griffin) bothers him and he wish he would have not told Griffin
that he knows me as he does not get rid of him anymore. He told me that
he advised the library staff to tell callers to deny knowing me. I
asked him for a copy of the complaints, but Mr. Ward told me that he
will not bother me with that stuff. There was no word about me
e-mailing. It was all about posting on Usenet.
During our second brief talk in the lobby of the library, Mr. Ward told
me that the library is like a post office. Their duty is not to make
judgment on what patrons do and think and write, they are just
providing access to anybody. Apparently, the library thinks now they
don't have to be neutral like a post office anymore but that they are
entitled to censor my speech and activities.
Mr. Ward was present during our third talk. Nancy Tessman basically
told me that "Usenet Managers" threatened to block the UEN because of
my postings. She too knew that at issue were postings and no e-mails
and no bulk mail . She told me basically if I would know another place
to go for Internet access that I should go there but she also did not
tell me that I am barred from accessing the Internet through the
library computers. Chip Ward told me that I should not post on Usenet
for three days and that the complaints all surround usenet group
alt.religion.scientology.
If she would have considered my activities against Internet rules or
the law, she would have not told me to go elsewhere because that would
bring those providers in problems, right? Nancy Tessman knew that she
was/is denying my rights.
With the help of the CEO of the Freespeechstore, Rick Scoville, and
publications of the Religious Freedomwatch, I was able to document to
the library, the UEN and the University of Utah, the Office of General
Counsel, that these "Usenet Managers" like Brian J. Bruns, Robert W.
Clark, and others, are convicted computer crime felons or other kind of
criminals and that Bruns was still under probation. Mr. Scoville and I
provided library, the UEN and the University of Utah with names, e-mail
addresses and phone numbers of officials in other states who needed the
support of the UEN, the Salt Lake City Libary, and the University of
Utah in order to put Bruns or others away. Instead of working against
these cyber felons or other criminals, Ms. Tessman blames me that these
criminals blocked the UEN and the library. It is outrageous!
This is what Ms. Tessman wrote, despite she received evidence that the
people who blocked the library and the UEN are people like Brian J.
Bruns, a felon, a hacker under probation or a felon like Robert W.
Clark who hacked into the Los Alamos computers.
" Upon investigation and review, we believe that access for patrons at
both the Library and through UEN has been reduced to some Usenet sites
due to your repeated violation of Internet guidelines and protocols."
In other words: The library, the UEN and the University of Utah work
hand in hand with these criminals by kicking me out instead working
with authorities of other states and with the FBI to put a stop to
allow criminals to block the UEN.
Under GRAMA, I request the records of these "investigations" by the
library that Ms. Tessman mentioned. I am not in violation of any Usenet
protocol and guidelines, and I want Ms. Tessman to provide these
documents and inform exactly what I have "repeatedly" violated.
Ms. Tessman made her decision to barr me because she apparently does
not like my speech. She is fabricating that I sent "bulk mail and
unsolicited and voluminous e-mail" to have a justification to go
through with her unconstitutional actions against me. She is anti-free
speech and violates the U.S. and Utah Constitution. I want the library
to prove these outrageous claims, and it they were fabricated to find a
reason to deny access to me. As the library had no reason, they made
something up together with the University of Utah, as Robert Payne also
sent me such an e-mail in which he accused me wrongfully of that.
Interestingly, Mr. Chip Ward e-mailed me last month, and he wrote that
he has no complaints against me. See that message and my response
attached as enclosure.
Ms. Tessman permanently suspended my access to library computers but
welcomed me to use the library otherwise. How can anybody whose rights
are being violated by the library enjoy the library or even study in
such a hostile environment?
Moreover, the library is anyway too loud for studies. Instead going
after my rights, Ms. Tessman should listen to the patrons, who suffer
under the extreme noise in the library. I know that quite some patrons
question her competence as there is no room for quiet study ANYWHERE in
the library. You hear loud music and cell phones everywhere and despite
the library has the space to provide quiet reading and writing space,
it is not provided, it doesn't matter that patrons ask for it all the
time and even papers wrote critical about the noise. I don't know
anybody who is able to learn in such an environment, in other words:
education is not the main desire by the Salt Lake City Libary as run by
Ms. Tessman.

Why not? Actually, usenet and email are closely related, and, for those
posting to an nntp server, their own isp's smtp server is used; just
like email.
Of course, Barbara used the web-based 'Google Groups', but email can
also be sent that way. And, Barbara specifically circumvented Google's
own terms of service rules by using dozens of throw-away email accounts,
which is why she got away with her spamming.
And, that's what it was; whether email or usenet posts, her repetitions,
especially of hundred-line-signatures qualify as spam.
Admittedly, most 'bulk email spammers' prefer to send a single message
to hundreds, thousands or millions of unwilling victims, but sending
hundreds of thousands of *identical* or nearly identical emails to a
*single* recipient is *also* spam. Whether the recipient is a person or
a newsgroup.
Barbara is whining about what I'm sure she considers a 'technicality',
but, it's not a technicality that makes any difference as to whether she
was spamming.

She can't. The LDS computers are designed for people who want to do
family tree/geneology research. Schwarz is crazy enough that I think
her mere presence in the library would warrant LDS staff to watch her
and insure she's not using the computers for anything but geneology.
But who knows? Maybe a "press release" about the SLCPL's actions vs.
Schwarz to the LDS and University of Utah libraries is in order.
