Why so many criminals in Scientology?

We have Founder L. Ron Hubbard with his criminal conviction for petty theft for
passing bad checks and with a record of wife-beating and drug abuse, who
died on psych drugs while hiding from the authorities. Not only did his ex-wife
and his own son describe him as a "paranoid schizophrenic" but a judge even
described the cult he founded as "paranoid and schizophrenic" and stated that
this was a "reflection of its founder." Among his other crimes, L. Ron Hubbard
was sentenced to four years of prison for fraud by a French court, but he
remained a fugitive from this charge as well.

felonies and served jail time for helping her husband mastermind the biggest

Next comes the President of the cult he founded, Heber Jentzsch, who is
currently out on a million dollars bail for criminal charges in Spain. A
habitual liar, who constantly claims that his cult has eight million members,

One wonders what sort of criminal element would have anything to do with
such a criminal cult, with such an extensive history of criminal convictions
at every level in the organization, and with a history of crimes ranging
from the broad spectrum of sexual perversion, drug abuse, petty theft,
fraud and even homicide. Certainly, only a criminal would have anything
to do with such a virulent and heinous crime cult.

And let's not forget the many Guardian Office / Office of Special Affairs
ringleaders that were indicted (or were named as "unindicted co-conspirators")
who are out of prison and who are _still_ running the operation. And we can't
forget that the organization's mock corporate shells called "WISE" were
ordered by the IRS to be disbanded and yet the felony organization still
have WISE running as a corporate overlay.
The Scientology crime syndicate was responsible for the single most
widespread incident of domestic espionage of government offices and
corporate businesses in America -- and some of the crooks that went to
prison are _still_ running the syndicate.
Hopefully the authorities in Spain will put Scientology's "International
President" away for the 56 years that they're asking for, however that
still leaves a lot of crooks in Northern America that the authorities need
to indict for racketeering, money laundering, and other RICOable offenses.
The blackmail and then frame-up of Keith Henson, along with the setup of
Robert Minton (which a jurist explained to the media was obviously a setup
attempt) should factor into eventual RICO against the syndicate.

Because it's a criminal cult. You have to be a criminal under the
