Scientology's founder made many claims about Dianetics and Scientology
raising people's intelligence ($cientology's caek). These claims are
recorded in his many books and lectures, which constitute the sacred
scriptures of the Church of Scientology. It should be relatively easy
to scientifically test these claims, and it is telling that the
Corporation of Scientology has as yet been unable to show that the
caek is not a lie.

“A Clear can be tested for any and all psychoses, neuroses,
compulsions and repressions (all aberrations) and can be examined for
any autogenic (self-generated) diseases referred to as psycho-somatic
ills. These tests confirm the Clear to be entirely without such ills
or aberrations. Additional tests of his intelligence indicate it to be
high above the current norm.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health (page
13).

“The result of this will bring about… optimum analytical ability for
the individual and, with that, all recall. The experience of his
entire life is available to the clear and he has all his inherent
mental ability and imagination free to use it.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health (pages
207-208).

“A Clear, for instance, has complete recall of everything which has
ever happened to him or anything he has ever studied. He does mental
computations, such as those of chess, for example, which a normal
would do in a half an hour, in ten or fifteen seconds.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health (page
208).

“These show swift rises in intelligence and marked betterment of
personality in ratio to the amount of processing done.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Science of Survival: Prediction of Human Behavior
(page 219).

“Scientology… can predictably raise intelligence…”
L. Ron Hubbard - Scientology: A New Slant on Life (page 129).

“Scientology, used by the trained and untrained person, can improve
the health, intelligence, ability, behavior, skill and appearance of
people.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought (page 6).

“It is interesting that people only need to study Scientology to have
some small rise in their own intelligence…”
L. Ron Hubbard - Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought (page 7).

“Scientology… is the only science or study known which is capable of
uniformly producing marked and significant increases in intelligence
and general ability.
“Scientology processing amongst other things can improve the
intelligence quotient of an individual, his ability or desire to
communicate, his social attitudes, his capability and domestic
harmony, his fertility, his artistic creativity, his reaction time and
his health.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought (page 114).

“…the removal of physically painful experience from the life of an
individual, immeasurably increases both his dynamic force and his
intelligence.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Dianetics: The Original Thesis. (page 123).

“The goal of this process is the rehabilitation of as much of the
thetan’s capability as possible, to permit him to utilize or be free
of bodies as he chooses, and even, in lesser magnitude, to rid the
preclear of psychosomatics, eradicate compulsions, obsessions and
inhibitions, to raise his reaction time and intelligence level.”
L. Ron Hubbard - Scientology 8-8008 (page 163).

“A ‘difficult’ case is simply an incomprehensible case.
“The processing on this is done by the command:
“Spot something incomprehensible,” repeated many, many times.
“This ‘ups’ I. Q. and raises perception.”
L. Ron Hubbard - The Creation of Human Ability: A Handbook for
Scientologists (page 234).

“Scientology can, and does, increase human intelligence. By the most
exact tests known, it has been proven that Scientology can greatly
increase intelligence… It can reduce reaction time and it can pull
the years off one’s appearance.”
L. Ron Hubbard - The Problems of Work: Scientology Applied to the
Workaday World. (page 14).

Another concept in clearing is to remove worries. Worries reduce ones
perfomance on all tasks. A worry could be a painful foot due to injury, you
go to a doctor for that but if the worry is because of guilt the clearing
process makes you face your offence and rectify it. For example of you stole
from a friend the clearing process would be to seek your friend, apologise,
and return the item stolen or money to the same value.

Worries caused by missed opportunities or by events that scarred your mind
such as an assault or road accident can be cleared by bringing these events
to mind and allowing the person to face them in the presence of the auditer.

My friend was so completely destroyed by worry that she faced brain surgery
and imprisonment was cured completely by the scientologists and is now a
production project manager for airbus.

Many have been cured of addiction to "drugs" including psychiatric drugs.

brain surgery? :D
sorry that one is mythical and made me laugh and than cry a bit for u!
truly believing your own words.
nobody does surgery as Psychotherapist! they aren't surgeons, and even
if they did they had to goto a national court to even get permission
to do something so extremely experimental...
stop reading sci-fi and come into the real world, and you'll see it's
not such a bad place after all.

Wow, scientology must have a LOT of worries as an organisation then. Just
think of all the people they pretended to befriend, and then stole from them
day after day. I believe there are still lawsuits from ex-scientologists
waiting for the promised refunds that they aren't going to get, because
scientology sold them a false dream.

It stole from them. It needs to give back to them. It will face many, many
more worries if it doesn't.

Counselling will do that for you a whole lot cheaper, and a lot more
effectively. No nasty side effects such as "belonging to a cult" either.

I'm not even sure where to begin pointing out everything that's wrong with
this.

Many have been dumped at shelters without food, money, transportation or
means of communication by NARCANON. Many more have been screwed over by it
in other ways. Many are realising just what a complete crock of shit it
really is.
