A British Ministry of Defence employee, Christopher Owen, a chat room
pal of Touretzky, appears to be of the same frame of mind as Touretzky
when he made the following statement about Osama Bin Laden in a chat
room:
"Osama's a lousy strategist but a briliant tactician."
That comment was made by Owen two months after the September 11 attacks
in New York, Washington D.C. and the plane that crashed in
Pennsylvania. In Owen's view killing innocent men, women and children
is a "brilliant tactic". In other words to destroy lives, which is what
terrorists do, is a great skill.
Religious Freedom Watch is currently reviewing more than 500 IRC logs
which contain information on what David Touretzky, Robert Clark,
Christopher Owen, Kady O'Malley, Scott Pilutik and several other
anti-religious extremists have been doing behind the scenes on several
fronts, some of which will be turned over to law enforcement as they
appear to have exceeded the legal limits.

YOU CAN'T POST WITH OPEN PROXIES ON WIKIPEDIA. TRY IT, THEY ARE
BLOCKED. HE IS INJUST AND SO BIASED THAT IT MUST REALLY HURT TO BE
CHRISTOPER OWENS.

proxies]] and removed the proxy abuser's comments. Any further uses of

I am harassed and defamed, I innocent and on trial here, and I can't
post any response? That is completely undemocratic. I don't harass
anybody, and I am not allowed to defend myself? How about Wikipedia
applying some laws?

I don't like the harassment policies of Wikipedia. Wikipedia better

that she has managed to alienate him due to her repeated personal
attacks against other editors on the discussion pages. Thus she was
banned. The she started sockpuppets, i.e. new users that talked just
like her. And finally, she also attacked the top editor who had
supported her.
Personal attacks are a no-no on wikipedia. She doesn't want to
understand this.

I think he blamed me of a posting that went up on Usenet. That posting
liked to a newspaper article saying that the Colorado Supreme Court

First off, a general FYI to anyone auto-replying/posting outside of
Google Groups or wants these posts to be seen by outside servers. You
should take care and check the number of groups that your post is being
sent to. When I went to reply to Steve's post I notice all the posts
were being sent to 5 newsgroups (which some ISPs don't like and might
ban/block you... I know of a few large servers won't proccess a post
that is being sent to more than 3 groups at once, and you might not
even know if your post was rejected by some of these servers). Those 5
groups might have been related to the topic at task, but in trying to
follow netiquette somewhat I removed all the groups other than ARS
(since that's the only one I interact with). You are of course free to
post however you like, but I just wanted to make a point of talking
about multi-group posts in case some people were unaware of the
situation.
Now to get back on topic, I'm sure many people would agree with you
Steve (I would personally like to see Wikipedia take a more
professional approach when it comes to content, but the debate of "all
or none" has been raging since the start and will continue on for some
time), but I don't believe the attacks people are lobbing at each other
will stop any time soon. I don't have a lot of input on this current
topic, mostly because I doubt I could say much that hasn't already been
said before (but if that changes I'll of course throw my comments at
the wall and see what sticks), but I wanted to ask Barbara if there
were a set number of parts to this topic, or if content is just being
posted as it comes out (just out of curiosity =). Try to enjoy the
weekend all, if you are rocking the Northern Hemisphere the weather
should be a bit more pleasent these days =).

Although Steve isn't a Scientologist, there is little doubt that
he's working 'hand in pocket' with them; whether in a reciprocal
'cult helps cult' relationship, or for pay or maybe for sheer
contrariness (unlikely, but, never to be denied.)

discussion.

People have a certain posting style. It may change subtley over the years,
but in essence, it remains the same. I could change my name that I post
under to "Lord Bottomburp", but the posts would still be identifiable as
being from me - the Lord Bottomburp sock puppet would possibly fool someone
for a week, but probably not much longer. You do it yourself with the "I
have been defamed" handle. We know it's you by the language and style used.

Thank you for pointing that out, Tony. I was removing other newsgroups
from the "to" section because I also just post here, but I was unaware
that it could cause me problems with my ISP.

The average person is unaware that they are being manipulated by a
cross-posting troll, which you are, Steve.
Surely people in alt.woodworking or rec.sports.tennis may be
intelligent enough to post here, but most of these people in other
groups are unaware that their comments are only being sought for the
express purpouse of fouling up alt.religion.scientology with irrelevant
off-topic posts.

I think that many, many more people are interested in woodworking and
tennis than are interested in Scientology.

It depends on what you mean by "interested in Scientology". If you
include criticism of Scientology in with it, then it certainly appears
that people are much more interested in talking about Scientology
abuses than talking about woodworking or tennis. A cursory glance at
the three newsgroups would show that ARS has a far greater number of
participants and articles than the other two.
I would agree that there are more /practioners/ of woodworking and
tennis than Scientology, since Scientology only has ~50,000 members in
the United States, while I imagine the number of tennis players and
woodworkers would number in the millions.

Who are you exactly? Is this Barbara Schwarz? Google Groups may be
busted but when I click to see your profile GG shows 1548 posts under
psllv...@gmail.com, but whenever I go to a specific month it says
there are no matches. The only posts are it shows are 3 posts written
that portray Simkatu in a negative light.
I only asked if this was Barbara Schwarz because I don't see many
people calling Simkatu by the name Korey and your post seems to focus
on Wikipedia which seems to have been her focus as of late too.
Although Barbara normally signs her posts as well, so maybe I'm way
off, either way I'm curious as to who you are just because I don't
think I know you.

P.S. - Oh I read the other posts that fall under your name and it seems
like you have something in common with Barbara Schwarz but you don't

Korey Kruse is defiently a person who has had some run-ins with the law
(based on these court documents), but because of the way the internet
works I have no way of knowing if Simkatu (I think Barbara posted
another alias or two for usenet) is Kruse. From what I've read I don't
think anyone online has admitted to being Kruse (although feel free to
link me if I've missed that... I've only been here a couple of months
and have lots of back-reading yet to do =), of course that doesn't mean
it's not true. At the same time I cannot assume it's true because you
and Barbara said so (however I'm willing to look at any documents you
have that thinks would provide an answer one way or another, in fact
that'd be very useful). I'm curious on how you connected the real
person with the online nick as well, regardless of how well it's
documented or not.
I don't want you to think I'm picking you out to mistrust, it's not
even a matter of that, I've just learned that it can be dangerous to
take someone's word for fact. To answer all of your "do you know?"
questions at once, sadly no. I am fairly new to ARS and have only
figured out the most basics of who the current users are and their
policies. Also I know Barbara has family in Germany, but that's my
extend of my knowledge about her bloodline. I don't know if you are
her baby brother by blood or figuratively (or where you reside).
I'm sorry if my lack of knowledge is getting annoying at this point,

and anyone I can and doing my best to put the puzzle together (which I
have to say, you guys have not made it easy to do, but then it wouldn't

so many years but who knows) so I was wondering if you had any ideas,

scientology next to every grocery checkout.
Google news mostly indexes print media and in the last month alone

I'm not sure what your day to day non-internet related life consists of
but Scientology is constantly showing up in print/tv/etc in my area,
and if the same isn't true for your location you should be very
thankful (as the information is mostly gossip and repeated stories... I
think European news agencies do a better job of getting real answers
but countries like Germany and France take a stronger stance against
Scientology so the local churches probably have to fight harder to try
and get positive press).
As far as Scientology online coverage, there seems to be less fear of
writing/posting something that may be seen as negative so that may
explain why there is continued talk on the internet. Someone mentioned
earlier that ARS keeps growing in members and posts (based on Google
Groups data), so there must be a growing interest about the topic among
the general public.

He made that statement under oath. He always defames and attacks me for

according to the courts, an habitual offender. He also was ordered to
undergo psych evaluation. Of course it didn't help.

I avoid it whenever possible myself *hugs Amazon and NewEgg*. Mall =
high chance of running into past "friends" (aka the kind that want to
bum a few bucks off of you or is looking for a random ear), Best Buy +
Circuit City = must REALLY be trying to push their audio hardware
because the music in both places is loud enough that it's hard to talk
to the person next to you. In fact I only go out shopping is when a
friend wants to go as well so I can at least have someone to make fun
of the experience with later and holy crap this is so off-topic *falls
off his roof but forgets that there isn't a pool outside this year's
hall*... broken neck > shopping malls.
