THE 2004/2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS—GIVING LRH THE GIFT HE MOST WANTED:
EXPANSION
A tradition was born when Church management first asked LRH what he
wanted most for his birthday. They expected an answer like "a tie" or
a "chocolate cake," but LRH surprised them all. His answer: "5X the
stats!" So began the International Birthday Game. Each year, missions,
Class V orgs, Sea Org orgs and continents compete in their own leagues
of the game for the greatest expansion. The 2004/2005 Birthday Game
was without question the greatest ever.
The year's expansion was launched last March 13, 2004, when Chairman
of the Board RTC, Mr. David Miscavige, laid out the strategy for a new
breed of Ideal Organizations-all under the heading of "correct orders
of magnitude" for planetary clearing.
Since then, Ideal Orgs have been opened from Africa to Europe and
across America-eight in all-with many more on the horizon.
And vital to their creation were new Public Divisions and Public
Information Centers that brought virtually every one of our successful
dissemination campaigns-from "What is Scientology?" Exhibits, to LRH
Life Exhibitions, VM Cavalcades and Book One-right into every org.
So it was that in the past year those eight new Ideal Orgs brought
more people into Scientology than the combined International
Scientology Network for the entire preceding year!
And expansion was at new orders of magnitude across every league of
the game.
MISSION CHAMPIONS
Four hundred missions entered the race this year, across six
continents and in 336 cities. With hundreds of missions posting record
growth this year, the race for top mission was close.
Bellaire Mission in Florida, third place winner, is a mission whose
hallmark is grass channel. Book One ads and shows on local television
helped drive new public in and onto basic courses-doubling their
student points, producing 330 basic course completions, delivering
more than 3,500 hours of auditing and moving hundreds up The Bridge to
orgs.
Kharkov, Ukraine Mission, second place winner in the mission game, was
the first to bring LRH tech to their nation. They have one of the most
expanding fields of any mission on Earth. They started it all with a
Book One campaign across all available lines: radio, television and
thousands of promotion pieces including posters at bus stops and metro
stations-seen by more than 300,000 through the course of a working
day. They also ran ads on five TV channels, 75 times a day. Then it
was a "truth about drugs" campaign in schools all over their region,
and an army of Book One auditors and the first Golden Age of Tech
auditors-together delivering nearly 8,000 hours.
Almaty, Kazakhstan Mission is the International Champion Mission, for
the second year in a row. Located less than 300 miles from the Chinese
border, this mission will stand forever in the hall of fame as the
first to bring LRH tech to Central Asia. They are also the first to
receive full religious recognition in a Muslim country that today
counts 12 missions.
This year, Almaty reached out like never before, airing regular
Dianetics radio shows across their zone and tripling the number of
books in new public hands. As for moving these people onto The Bridge,
their seven course supervisors now service more than 200 basic course
students each and every week. And with their first Golden Age of Tech
auditors just returned from the Moscow Org and now delivering over 250
hours of auditing weekly, Almaty Mission is on its way to becoming
their nation's and Central Asia's first Class V org.
Accepting the award, Mission Holder Almaty, Svetlana Baittinger, said,
"The exact same actions that we started to implement last year, which
helped us to win the Birthday Game-training of our technical personnel
on the Golden Age of Tech and hatting our mission staff members-made
us winners again this year."
CLASS V ORGANIZATION CHAMPIONS
Hamburg Org in Germany is the third place winner in the Class V Org
League. Front and center in their city, their expansion for the past
12 months is only the latest chapter in their glorious history. With
massive reach-out campaigns across the community, they brought the
tech to thousands, doubling their Academy, training Golden Age of Tech
auditors to clear their city and sending top tech staff to the
Flag Service Org for training. St. Petersburg Org in Russia, second
place winner, was the first Dianetics group in a land that now counts
several hundred groups. They were also their nation's first org.
Expanding non-stop all the while, their staff are now 300 strong and
deliver to more than 500 public every week.
Over the past year their 50-man Public Divisions delivered more than
1,000 introductory lectures, held 40 open house events and doubled
their public service delivery with more than 150 basic course
completions every week. Hundreds of auditors trained in their Academy
helping to establish four missions and 50 field auditor teams.
As for moving people up The Bridge, they broke all previous org
records, delivering 200 hours of group processing, another 200 of Book
One and 700 hours of HGC auditing-again every week.
Milano Org, Champion Class V org-for the sixth time-continued their
long-winning tradition with another year of relentless expansion. With
their new Public Information Center at work, they toured thousands
every week, expanding delivery of introductory services by four times.
Their Field Division is a force unto itself, with hundreds of active
Volunteer Ministers, a new Criminon chapter, two Applied Scholastics
groups, six Narconon centers, eight WISE groups, 16 field auditor
teams and 16 missions.
Their team of 20 auditors and 6 C/Ses now deliver more than 850 Well
Done Auditing Hours each week while the Universe Corps team moves the
Milano staff to OT, right in their org. As the Executive Director,
Maria Rosa Dal Mas, said on receiving the Birthday Game cup: "We have
never had so many tools to make Clearing a reality, and we are doing
it!"
SEA ORG SERVICE ORG WINNERS
The seven Sea Org service orgs are entrusted to deliver Advanced
Levels for the widespread making of pre-OTs. They are also responsible
for maintaining the technical standards throughout all lower orgs,
missions and groups within their zone, by training top auditors on the
Saint Hill Special Briefing Course and the Class VIII Course.
ASHO Foundation, third place winner in this league, is an org LRH
created to see to the training of top rank auditors to salvage a
single city. And today that city, Los Angeles, has the largest
concentration of Scientology activities anywhere.
ASHO Foundation held more than 360 events this year, from Auditor's
Association conventions to training seminars. And their 20 Golden Age
of Tech Supervisors and Word Clearers produced Briefing Course level
completions every single day, doubling their volume of service
delivered and counting close to 2,000 auditor training completions.
Celebrity Centre International is the second place winner in the Sea
Org league. CC International is an entirely unique service org, with a
crucial role of delivering to the artists and leaders who shape the
culture of the civilization. This is the top dissemination service org
on the planet, holding literally thousands of seminars, festivals and
community events. And what it all added up to in 2004/2005 was more
than 35,000 introductory services to new public.
Here is also an org that trains over 500 students in their course
rooms every week, and all while their Hubbard Guidance Center now
delivers more than 2,000 hours of auditing every week. Advanced Org
Saint Hill Europe (AOSH EU), world champion for the Sea Org sector,
was created by LRH with the purpose of providing the highest levels of
The Bridge to people of every language.
Responsible for more new missions and orgs than any other org on
Earth, today their expansion is unrelenting.
Last year their Public Divisions toured 61 orgs and missions across 18
countries with the result that staff from 45 missions across 12
different nations are now training on the Saint Hill Special Briefing
Course at AOSH EU.
They deliver the Advanced Courses in a dozen languages, doubled their
delivery of Solo OT levels, and expanded NED for OTs delivery by
three-and-a-half times-all highest ever in their history.
Accepting the Birthday Game Trophy, Captain AOSH EU, Berndt Kortel,
said, "I can tell with certainty that the key to all of this is KSW
#1, 100 percent Standard Tech and Policy application. I'm very proud
#to be the Captain of AOSH EU entrusted to create an OT boom in Europe."
WORLD CHAMPION CONTINENTAL LIAISON OFFICE
The final Birthday Game League is for the Continental Liaison Offices,
organizations that house the management units for every sector-from
IHELP to SMI, WISE and ABLE as well as orgs. Responsible for
coordinating and executing international strategies throughout their
continental area, these orgs play the game across whole geographic
zones. Continental Liaison Office ANZO, third place winner, is driven
by a dual purpose: to provide a safe base for Scientology in the
Southern Hemisphere, and open up the East to real answers to a
2,500-year-old dream. To do just that, in the past year they
established new footholds with Applied Scholastics schools in
Thailand, Western Australia and six more in Japan and new missions
across their zone. They also launched the first Narconon in Nepal and
opened the first Hubbard College of Administration in Taiwan.
They tripled the number of introductory services delivered by orgs and
at the very top, their Advanced Org doubled the volume of NED for OTs
delivery. CLO Western United States, second place winner, counted 26
new Social Betterment groups, more than 4,000 people in the business
sector completing LRH admin courses, field auditor teams moving close
to 5,000 people up The Bridge to orgs, and new missions opened in six
states.
While at the top of The Bridge, their Advanced Org built the largest
team of Class IX auditors outside of Flag, and that team delivered
more than 40,000 hours of New OT V auditing, this year alone.
CLO Europe is the world champion in the Continental Liaison Office
league of the Birthday Game.
With more than 1,200 groups and missions and 49 orgs, they are
responsible for the largest continental zone. Field auditor groups
began in seven new lands from Egypt to Iceland. Seventeen new missions
opened in eight more nations, and meanwhile the delivery of services
by their Central Orgs reached an all-time high.
And finally, it was all about the Golden Age of Knowledge. For when
the RTC call went out-it was this CLO that organized an 800-man army
of translators, who have now helped to bring in the new Golden Age of
Knowledge.
And after accepting the awards on behalf of his CLO, CO CLO Europe,
Walter Kotric, told the audience, "Our guiding principle is PURPOSE.
We know that the future of half the planet depends on what we do to
help bring them LRH's tech." All in all, it was a year that
exemplified what the LRH Birthday Game is all about--freed beings.

looks almost the same as Toulouse mission here. Same sort of miserable look. I
would'nt mind of the look if people were there praying or whatever religious
thing, but see, there are not even people to do such things there.
Same in Lyon org, St Etienne org...

HOW TO LIE WITH STATISTICS
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
"There is terror in numbers," writes Darrell Huff in How to Lie with Statistics. And
nowhere does this terror translate to blind acceptance of authority more than in the
slippery world of averages, correlations, graphs, and trends. Huff sought to break through
"the daze that follows the collision of statistics with the human mind" with this slim
volume, first published in 1954. The book remains relevant as a wake-up call for people
unaccustomed to examining the endless flow of numbers pouring from Wall Street, Madison
Avenue, and everywhere else someone has an axe to grind, a point to prove, or a product to
sell. "The secret language of statistics, so appealing in a fact-minded culture, is
employed to sensationalize, inflate, confuse, and oversimplify," warns Huff.
