Which is where computer translation has been standing still ever since
people first started trying it in the 1950's. I've never noticed an
increase in quality between what those first translation programs came up
with, what the state of the art was when I studied the subject at
university in the late 1980's, and what Systran (a.k.a. Babel Fish) comes
up with now.

No wonder, since computer translation is based on a provably incorrect
belief: that something or someone can translate a text without
understanding the content at all. But that after over half a century they
still can't come up with something that produces at least syntactically
correct sentences in the target language is nothing short of ridiculous.
