Uh, why did you leave the final S of off "Scientologists" in the
subject line? I've seen a lot of people do that here, and always
wondered why.

> Perhaps they feel they are no longer the person who was born with that name?
Because they have goofy names, and they're goofy.
Example: Father of actor Cole "Paparazzi" Hauser (whose mother is Cass
Warner) was born Gerald Hauser. When he was on staff at Celebrity
Centre he changed his name to Wings Livinryte. Then he wooed Cass, who
used her inheritance money to buy out his Sea Org contract (no lower
conditions for Wings!) and off they flew.
The marriage didn't last long but not many $cientology marriages do.
Do regular non-celebrity Scientologists change their names a lot, too?
I know you see it with celebrities, but I thought that was more of a
celebrity thing.

"Scientologists believe that most human problems
can be traced to lingering spirits of an extraterrestrial
people massacred by their ruler, Xenu, over 75 million

[Judge Leonie Brinkema 4 Oct 96 Memorandum Opinion]
What do we get from getting people out of scientology?
We create an individual who has become a Houdini of
all mind traps.. folks who won't be fooled again.
People who can DE-program, People who can spring mental
traps..
We create, by freeing someone of scientology, a being
who has the ability to break the strongest slave chains
of all.
