Yep, I'm a regular of alt.2600. Cross posting is just a fact of life
for usenet users. The alt section allows anyone to write whatever they

No, the reason poppies have been tolerated is because there is very
little known use, it is not by itself heroin, and few people even
noticed dried pods and fresh flowers are opium.
I know of several websites in Canada that will sell Cannabis, Quick
Mushroom Grow-kits, Hash, and "Research" chemicals - which are
semi-legal, but FAR ***FAR*** more powerful then ANY illegal
psychedelics. Although, naturally I have no interest in sharing the web
address.
I just wrote it because I felt like writing it. Yet it is also true,
had I have know the weak effects and washroom troubles I would have
saved my money. Although I never got addicted in a week, the average
amount recommended for large turkish white pods are 2-5 max… I would

Well before anonymous, in the 90's I've been passing out well formatted
html and pdf copies of the OTs and NOTs. As a kid I even
considered joining the local org thinking they kept millions of dollars
in a safe, then I learned what the sea org were, the hell their lives
were - and that they hid their $ through various banks the day they get
'em. Even today, when they come up to me on the street for meter
readings or personality tests I argue with them about their "religion"
to the point of having some guy running after me with a camera. I once
got yelled at by 6 of them asking "What are (my) crimes". I think I'm
an official S.P. ;)

I can be a confrontational person at trying times. Most of the people
they got working the streets are doing rundowns, and I advise them of
what to look forward to when they join the sea org in Toronto to pay

The pod site is still up, although the Cannabis/Hash dealer has

Nausea and vomiting was not that bad, it's far worse with other drugs
like DMT. Still you body is telling you something when it try to "toss

just to minor - I'd rather have a drink. I just can't put myself in the

There are real differences between political parties,including drugs
policies. Tories have been fighting in court every harm reduction
program in Vancouver: safe injection sites for instance. Not
successfully so far.Safe injection sites remain, protected by a BC
court decision. But Tories are making it harder for similar additional
programs to start up anywhere else.
It doesn't seem to matter to wing nuts that a dozen+ peer reviewed
medical studies worldwide published in respected journals all have
found such harm reduction programs reduce disease spread, save lives,
get more addicts voluntarily entering rehab, etc.
Vancouver even completed a rather daring (by many peoples' standards)
pilot program in heroin maintenance: providing hard core addicts who'd
repeatedly failed at detox and methadone, with 3X/day gov't sponsored
pharmaceutical grade heroin doses in a clinical setting.
Result: Those in the program had improved health, with HIV, hepatitis,
and other disease risks eliminated. Participants were more likely to
start working regular jobs and lead normalized lives. Any who'd
previously resorted to property crime or prostitution to support
habits, stopped committing crimes.
The program was deemed a success like similar programs in Europe.
The chances of a continuation of the program, or of similar programs
being established in other cities? With Tories in power, zero. The
feds get the final word,as federal narcotics laws need to be waived
for such programs to be legal.
Tories' final word is threefold: "No, no, NO!"
The notion of gov't "enabling" heroin addicts by giving them free or
low cost heroin, just has no place in Conservatives' irrational,
universe of anti-drug hysteria. Don't let the facts (crime & disease
reduction=$avings to taxpayers, legit gainful employment, normalized
healthier lives...) get in the way of cherished prejudices!
The most obnoxious (to me) of anti-drug hysterics are the ones who are
obvious substance abusers themselves, albeit abusers of legal
products: smokers (like those would-be LRH clones chain smoking, you
mention), boozers, obese food abusers railing against users of
illicit, but far less deadly substances than tobacco or even junk
food.
Obesity and unhealthy foods

The description I read some where of Silvia D. being "unpredictable"
seems borne out by comparing your experience of very little effect,
