This interview from January 2008 was brought up in conjunction with a
discussion about CCHR's attempt to defeat the US health care bill
because it contains a few mental health provisions. Bruce Wiseman, in
my opinion, comes off as a total fool as well as a bigot.

Wow, the Coop really knew his stuff on that issue. What a freak the
Sciloon guy was. They should have him on more often! He has that same
ghastly pallor as Carmichal, the head of the NY Org.

For years, I thought electro shock was pretty barbaric, even though an
uncle of mine was institutionalized for a month in 1959 for severe
depression and received electro-shock. I read his complete medical
record years later. The treatment was very successful. He never took
any drug, and never went into a deep depression again and lived into
his 80's. He told me that after he had the treatment, he never went to
that low state again.

A couple years ago PBS did a series on it and I wasn't even aware that
it was still being used. They've refined the process, but it seems
electroshock does seem to work with some people, and like my uncle
enable them to skip drugs, most of which come with some kind of side
effect.

So, this Scilon trying to dramatize it, and rationalize it that even a
child knows enough not to stick their finger in a light
socket....LOL... I think a child also knows enough not to slice their
gut open with a knife and remove an inflamed appendix...but that can
be a life-saving procedure too.

Unfortunately a child doesn't know enough to not get involved in a
crazy cult like Sciloontology.

All the things he was saying about no science in psychiatry, there
with the "Scientology" plastered under his image. Lots 'n' lots of
science in Scientolomology. After all, it has science right in its
name.

This makes me regret that Coop bugged out on the series they were
going to do a month ago or so.

More illustration of why Cooper's ratings are in the toilet - he's
bothering with someone as crazy as Bruce Wiseman.

But kudos to him for exposing the cult even more.

In Los Angeles, I think, trying to raise money to lobby against the
national health care bill. See Marty's blog for more info.

Frankly, I think Kendra should disconnect from him if only out of
embarrassment.

That's June 29, 2005.

Bruce Wiseman: "Scientology ... deals with the spirit of man ...
psychiatry is a materialistic practice ..."

Is that the explanation as to why the material part of Lisa McPherson
wasn't taken care of?

P$ychiatry is a scam and indeed kills.

Medicine as such is rarely healing but just extending the lifespan for
a few years in which people suffer.

We need a brandnew way of living to protect our bodies and minds so
that we don't get sick nor age.

Scientology orgs could show how to do it if the research that L. Ron
Hubbard made hereto were not stolen by infiltrators.

With psychiatry, they just stick a cattle prod up your butt and give
you all the juice you can stand, then blitz you with drugs and take
all your money and put it in their banking industry.

Scientology is spiritual. Like they sent that guy 16 spiritual, loving
text messages before he threw himself on some electrical equipment.
With others, your money buys $150 shirts for the top dogs, and a space
playground equipment for the Stupid Powerz building, that is, if
there's any money left over after buying David Miscavige bottles of
Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1945.

[REPLY}

I have a billion (one dollar for each year of your contract) dollars you
can't produce one single solitary Scientologist who has lived over 130
years.

Name me ONE Scientologist who has lived a greater than normal lifespan,
Barbara?

Oh, I won't be holding my breath.
