I got the Tech Kids Adevrtisement myself. I just thought it had to  do
with  me  running  two  LISTSERV  lists,   CKI-L  and  KIWANIS   (both
organizations deal with kids big  time).   Could  this  be  a  regular
"spam"? Instead of send me money and put your name  on  the  list,  it
seems to say send me money and I will keep it.

Hint no.3, Spammers believe they can do anything with this line in their
message.

My guess: just ignore the message, as these are spammers.
Of course this is just MHO.
I can be absolutely wrong. I do hope so. But I wouldn't bet on it...

Or try to locate the address mentioned, and start asking questions
at the tax agency or whatever.
And next time, please provide the e-mail headers as well.

Dear Sandy,

There is little chance that this is Scientology related.  The word "Tech"
is used to refer to the training environment for the kids (accessing the
Internet, etc.)--not to the Scientology use of the word "Tech".

Scientologists would not be caught dead addressing "PTS" individuals as an
enterprise (Potential Trouble Source--meaning handicapped individuals).
To do so would put them at effect and would be considered disgraceful to
them.

Thank you.
As to determin the spam-likeability, we have to look at
nfinity.com. Can someone show some whois-info?

Me too, love ;)

IMNSHO, spammers are to be ignored. Most of the time, they are
non-existing organizations. But however, I'll pass this question
to the other wise men in this newsgroup...

Ask postmas...@nfinity.com the name of the person, using dial-in-server
ppp58.nfinity.com on sat, 9 Aug 1997, 23:59:30 -0500 (CDT).

Mail her for some real information about this TECHKIDS organization.
Also ask references etc.

Good luck!
