NEW $CIJUNK SNAILMAIL: This thread of reports will continue as long as
the Co$ continues to disseminate such poppycock and stuff it daily,
unsolicited, in my mailbox.
ADVENTURE, the "newsletter" of the New Research & Discovery Series, has
arrived. This hypes as would P. T. Barnum (who was greatly admired by
Flubbard, I understand) THE INFINITE POTENTIAL OF THETA, which is part of
this collection of old LRH utterances now available for an outrageous
price. In Ron The Con's own words: "Technique 88 (an auditing method
discussed therein) is the most hyperbolical, effervescent, dramatic,
unexaggeratable, high-flown, superlative, grandiose, collossal, and
magnificent technique which the mind of man could conceivably embrace."
Barnum was known for his hyperbole, and his famous line "There's a sucker
born every minute." Suckerdom is certainly prerequisite to the blind
acceptance of the dogmas declared by Flubbard, in his best sci-fi style,
as follows:
"Technique 88 revealed the phemonenon of BODIES IN PAWN - a very gruesome
experience... A fellow is grabbed, hypnotized, shoved into an electronic
field, and then told he is somewhere else. And so he departs - most of
him - and goes to the new location while still being under control of the
implanters. He picks up a MEST body in the new location and starts living
a life there, WHILE STILL HAVING A LIVING BODY SOMEWHERE ELSE. The
implanters can keep his original body alive indefinitely, and control the
thetan through it. If the thetan tries to flee, the hypnotizers simply
cause pain to the original body, still alive in a vat of fluid, and he is
immediately recalled. That's a BODY IN PAWN. It's a second body you may
have, living somewhere else, right in present time. But the second body
is not under YOUR direct control. And in Volume 10 (for sale by the Co$,
$150.00 USA) you will - find out how to handle this situation. - And one
more thing. Don't forget the entities. They too can have bodies in pawn,
and every human being has several individual entities joined to him in
fixed locations around the body." This space-age voodoo story goes on
and on. Can't prove there's absolutely no truth in it, but considering
the Source and his history of proud "prevarication," the burden of proof
is clearly on him!
"STORIES FROM RON'S LIFE" follows the above, with a schizophrenic tall
tale not worth relating - just another attempt to sell to the brainwashed
gullible the overpriced science fiction stories of Flubbard's Research &
Discovery Series Volume 10.

I read this and I thought, I can't believe that someone would put such
grandiose bullshit in advertising copy. Just reading it cold gets me the
impression that Hubbard was a megalomaniac for saying those things, and
that his followers get so used to this megalomania by reading this
nonsense in advertisements that the Co$ copywriters have to keep cranking
out more and more bullshit....
I think some fair use quotes from these advertisements could make an
excellent flyer. The title of the flyer could be, "Would you buy a used
religion from this man?"

I noticed directly to Hubbard the following: on an "ADVANCE" issue of the
"c"o$ some 20 years ago, i counted as much as 128 hyperlatives on a 300 words
text.
This is maniac.
