She said the current Church of Scientology in Ebrington Street in the
city centre was "too small" for the needs of its followers.

It has around 3,000 to 5,000 sq ft of floor space. The new church will
boast around 60,000 sq ft.

"It will be a very prominent and bold building in the city centre of
Plymouth," said Marianne, who also revealed the plan is at an advanced
stage.

Marianne said in the past two years alone there had been an increase
of 8,00 to 1,000 Church of Scientology followers in Plymouth.

She said there were now 12,000 across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall.

The number of scientologists in the UK is approximately 102,000.

I'm sure Cornwall is a hotbed of Scientology or it will be once the
loons start heading for the hills. No wait, that's where they'll be
heading when they are trying to get away from Scientology in Plymouth.

You know, there might still be close to 10,000 Scilons left in all of
the UK, since the cult has been there for such a long time. But
they're leaving in droves lately.

TRANSLATION: "Plan is at an advanced stage" means they are hitting

Maybe they need to plan a fish and chips benefit. Just a thought.

One more evidence that the scam leader of the cult is only interested by
manking money, and getting the true money of his cult in difficult to-seize
hands, when the cult will be convicted to hundred of millions for
enslavement?

Oh dear. Janet told the London 'Observer' on May 16, 2004 that there were
118,000 Scientologists in the UK:

16,000 blown then. Stats down!

Active members... <2,000 as in the 2001 Census I'd guess. About half live
around Saint Hill, and Saint Hill can get around 800 to Events without
bussing in from other Orgs as they do for the IAS Anniversary.

The thousands that turn up for that include the St Hill students,
celebrities, hangers on and Europeans, plus this year we heard neighbours
were invited and extras were hired to fill up the marquee.

TR-L in action. As I've said before, TR-L teaches you to lie convincingly to
one person in one setting. What it doesn't teach is how an organisation can
keep their lies consistent.

"Scientology extra"...wonder if you could make a career out of that.
Probably pays better than the Sea Argh.

LOL, this is why the web is DEVASTATING to Scientology. They make
fools out of themselves. Lie-tech is exposed. Hubbard's lunacy in his
own voice. Their "secret" documents are silly. So much of it is
contradictory and sheer buffoonery.

This number of Scilons in Britain would be good for a BBC interviewer
to use...how is 16,000 down from 2004 rapid expansion? Then hit them
with "Isn't it true the real figure for the whole of Britain is more
like 10,000?"

Part of the problem is that everyone has to keep seperate mental files of
what's true, what's true but cannot be talked about to anyone, what's
false but secret, what's false but secret from public, etc, etc.

Our other UK blunder was Graeme Wilson telling a newspaper that the cult
was active in 64 countries, more or less true, whereas the 'official'
figure is 159 or thereabouts.

Going by the cult's past massaging of numbers, there are either 120 or
1200 Scientologists in the area. They really like to tack on a few zeros
and hope nobody is paying attention.

I'll go for UK total/number of UK Orgs.

Actually in European countries 'members' is almost certainly the mailing
list. This makes it less likely for spokespersons to slip up by pulling
numbers out of thin air! So don't ignore these silly numbers, IMO they do
mean something. The only total fantasy figures have 'millions' in them.

I hope all the extras came with one head each.

Going by a photograph of their massive fund-raising event in Plymouth
there are between 20 and 30 Scientologists in the area. It could be less
- - they had appealed for people from St. Hill, Birmingham etc. to join
in.
T-shirts were on sale at a modest 250 pounds."If everybody bought a
T-shirt..."
