It Happens
April 18, 1996, Steve Jackson, Denver Westword News, Village Voice Media

It was known as Landmark Education Corporation and was one of those
"self-empowerment" organizations that promised a rich and full life in
exchange for adopting a certain way of looking at the world. Plywaski's
daughter had taken one of Landmark's seminars, then another, then
another. She had dropped out of the University of Colorado, spent money
she didn't have and begun to talk like some member of a secret club,
using phrases only "insiders" could understand. Everything was
Landmark, Landmark, Landmark. She spent all her free time there:
recruiting, helping at seminars, coaching neophytes.

April 18, 2006, New York Post, Huffington Post
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2006/04/18/did-tom-cruises-cronies-_n_1...
TOM Cruise's cronies seem to have put a lot of effort into skewing a
Parade magazine poll in his favor. Parade.com recently asked online
readers whether they thought Cruise was responsible for his disastrous
public relations year or if it was the media's fault. A shocking 84
percent of respondents blamed the press. But Parade publicist Alexis
Collado tells us: "We at Parade found this a little bit fishy, so we
did some investigating. We found out more than 14,000 (of the
18,000-plus votes) that came in were cast from only 10 computers!

The secrets of Scientology
April 18, 2006, Sara Lawrence, The Independent

I am at Saint Hill Manor in East Grinstead, West Sussex - the UK's

American television, has been enveloped into the cult championed by the
father of her unborn baby, Tom Cruise.

April 18, 2011, Jan Libbenga, The Register
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/04/18/scientology_targets_german_ki...
The Office for the Protection of the Constitution in North
Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) believes Scientology is recruiting children
through Facebook and other social networks.
The domestic intelligence agency is ramping up its surveillance on the
controversial group.
Scientology has posted several videos titled "Jugend f|r
Menschenrechte" (Youth for human rights) and "Sag nein zu Drogen sag
ja zum Leben" (Say no to drugs, say yes to life) on YouTube, Twitter,
Facebook and other networks including the immensely popular Sch|lerVZ,
which exclusively targets schoolkids. Viewers are encouraged to sign up
for Scientology online groups.
