$CN Sydney Headquarters Drowned Out by Protesters

Angry ex-members of the Church of Scientology staged a protest outside
the Surry Hills headquarters on Saturday, calling for the
organisation’s tax-exempt status to be revoked.
Spurred on by Senator Nick Xenaphon’s latest focus on Scientology in
the Federal Parliament, the protestors accused the organisation of
drawing in vulnerable young people, taking their money, then making it
hard for them to leave by threatening to release damaging personal
details.
The protesters wore masks to prevent the Scientologists from
identifying them.
Protestors said the organisation should be investigated for any
potential criminal activity.
