If I would have DM's job, I would do things like this.
But here is Mistletoe and kissing explained... (sort of)
This is funny. Who would have thought that the Japanese are so very
interested in kissing under mistletoe?
"If you want to be proper, the man is supposed to pick one of the
berries off the mistletoe after the kiss."
What is he doing with the berry? He eats it? Throws it away? Keeps it
forever?
Barbara Schwarz
I think that misletoe is poisonous. Compost pile or possibly in the
drink of your enemies.
Just kidding!
:-D

I wouldn't eat it either.

I am sure glad that you added that you just were kidding. If it is
poison, let's hope nobody kisses mistletoe itself.
Merry x-mas, Peach. Do you celebrate with your sisters?
Barbara Schwarz
No, it's been called off this year due to family turbulence. We are
being swept by mighty winds!
And you? What are you gonna be up to?
Okay, well, you always have Mutti to kiss under the mistletoe.

I will be home and keep the fire going to stay warm. Have a new dance
DVD and learn Samba and Rumba steps. Awesome!
With latin American dances, I learned that it is important not to
dance on toes like in ballet but on your flat feet! And yes, swinging
the hips as wide as you can.... That is important... :)

Mutti is becoming a rather tiresome and cranky old gentleman. His
brother Earl, however, still bothers to charm a lady.

I find that orbit shrinks with every passing year! Fish oil, I probably
need fish oil. Too bad I can't just buy a can and apply it directly to
my joints.
Well, you have a merry one and keep toasty.
50.000 mistletoes for whom? Still so many cooks and gardeners there?

Sorry to hear that you have joint pains, Peach. Sometimes even kids
have already arthrities and such pains. I remember, when I was around
7 years old, one day I could not walk anymore. I was painfully
paralized from the waist down. The doctor thought that I have polio
but after three days, I jumped out of the bed and all was gone. Never
came back so far. But I think as more you move, as less chances your
joints have to get stiff.
I read this on the net:
There are alternative treatments for joint pain. They can either give
you pre-applied heat, massaging, and stretching can all be instant
relief from aching joints. Aloe Vera on your achy joints is a good
home remedy that is said to work. Apple cider vinegar taken daily in
the amount of 2 tablespoons will ease the pains of joints. Chamomile
tea has an anti inflammatory agent in it and can provide relief.
Putting a few drops of peppermint oil in a small amount of baby oil
and rub on the sore areas will give a numbing affect.
Perhaps you can try some of it and see if it works good enough to let
you do the Samba afterwards! ;)

For me of course!

Didn't you just read that mistletoe is poisonous and now you want to
cook it?

Sounds good. I know there are things I should be doing about it, of
course you don't feel like doing a lot when you're hurting! I may try
the apple cider vinegar. It's such a well known folk remedy, which is
said to be good for this and that. The very ritual of taking it may have
positive results.
Home remedies often work or bring at least some relief. But try to
stay in actions, Peach. Like dancing where music moves your legs and
hips all on its own. It feels great after you danced for an hour...
Start slow and then you can do more and shake what your Dad and Mom
gave you. :) It revitalizes and defies age. Look at Danny Osmond. He
is in his 50s and won Dancing with the Stars against people half his
age. Age is just a number...
So rock, and turn, and rock! Move those hips! Losen the spine! Set
your legs free!:)

I know, I know, I love to dance. There just hasn't been a lot to dance
about lately! Glad to hear that you are keeping your oar in, however.
Me, I've been stuck in the mud for a while, here.
:-D
Same here, but I just try to ignore the reasons why not to dance,
Peach.
You see the videos and you the girls dancing and then you try it and
first it feels and looks not that smooth but soon you are getting
better and better just like the dancers in the video. Practice is
everything if you have a feeling for music and rhythm.
It's fun to try new dance moves! When I am on the go and hear music
somewhere, it is hard just to stand and sit there and not to dance
now... It is a fever! (But a nice one.)

You'll find a way out of the mud.

Thanks Barbara. I'm glad to think of you dancing in Salt Lake City! As
Mehitabel the Cat said, "wot the hell, wot the hell".
I'll either get out of the mud or I'm going to have to get some hip waders.
Happy New Year and good health to you, Peach.
Barbara Schwarz
You too, Barbara. I hope there's a lot of dancing and roses for you to smell.
Dancing yes, but roses not, Peach.
It is very cold where I am. The only flowers are the icy flowers on
my many windows. All is covered under a thick layer of white snow and
the sun is shining on it. Looks beautiful and what I like most about
is that you don't hear anything outside right now except the wind and
sometimes a bird (who I fed as I don't want them to go hungry.) It is
really peaceful.
It's more like this here:

But you can have summer inside if you keep the fire and the heaters
going.
