Another Anti-Scientology Page Goes Away

Just got this bulletin from another Myspace member. I have him in my
Top Friends List. He informed me of a nice lady who had an
anti-scientology page that was removed from Myspace.

I have this "Top 12" list on my page and she was on the top row of
pictures. When I only saw 11 pictures, I wondered who was missing and
then I saw this bulletin (below). It's ashamed because her site was
responsible for a lot of the hits on vincedaniels.com and she would
always send me these hard to find videos. Now its all gone.
Something has to be done about this garbage. I thought we had free
speech in this country. Does COS have the ear of Rupert Murdoch and
the folks at Myspace or something? I intend to take this up on my
next Scientology show on November 4th!

I don't thijnk Myspace is anything but highly commercial enterprise. They've no
big team (or are just making one), and I suppose they have not a lot of legal
know how when faced to scam cult criminal attorneys and their LIES.

Or they're infiltrated, like some companies?

In other words, where was the pressure applied - to Myspace or to the
individual-- and who responded?


Scn, Inc. has a long-documented pattern of behavior of intimidating
individuals for speaking out against its collective abusive practices.
It's like they don't see the difference between an individual
addressing some issues of organized corruption and abuse, and an
organization digging up dirt on an individual and spreading it around.

Zinj posted recently something I'd almost forgotten about - the Home
Pickets of the late 1990s, where people who opposed Scientology vocally
were picketed at home; flyers telling how evil they were [loaded with
misinformation and half-truth] were distributed to their neighbors and
co-workers. Every effort was made to intimidate and shut people up.

Remember, this is the same group that tried to intimidate Karen Spaink
and Zenon Panoussis, and did set bad precedent for freedom of speech
when they made Julf at anon.penet.fi give up the identity of an
anonymous poster.

I wouldn't recommend any public blogging system (MySpace, LiveJournal,
Xanga, etc) for those who want to speak out against Scientology as they
likely will comply with any legal notices because they don't have the
time to research each request and likely receive numerous notices a
day. There are many people on this group (including myself) that would
be happy to set you up with some webspace and possibly even a blogging
program (I've gotten two friends with basic blogging knowledge to
switch from public sites to their own WordPress powered sites on my
server and they've never looked back =). Also, is there any chance in
getting those "hard to find videos" published online (if they aren't
already)?

When I check it, there is a page that's up, but it is not the same
page. The page that was up was the account of a woman, as far as I
know. (There was a woman's photograph for the profile, anyway.) That
profile had numerous friends and anti-Scientology links. The one that
comes up now is for a man and he has just one friend: Tom. And except
for the name of the page, there is nothing about Scientology (pro or
con) on the page.

I wonder what happened. Maybe the OP knows more. I know that this
person had had her page removed by Scientology before, because I wrote
to them to complain about it.

Sorry, should have said her page was removed by MySpace *due to*
complaints by Scientologists. It wasn't literally taken down by
Scientology. And it was MySpace I wrote to to complain. :p

<center> Scientologists on Myspace are against our 1st
Ammendment right of Freedom of Speech. They had our last
profile deleted. Like I stated previously, anyone against
Scientology is a criminal and MUST be stopped (in most
Scientologist's opinions), at least that's their mindset. The
funny thing is that one of their beliefs is to grant individuals
"beingness", so I don't see how taking away our Freedom of
Speech is granting us "beingness". For those who say we are
robbing them of their Freedom of Religion, we are in no way

quite frankly disgusted with the possible fixing of those

I have an open-ended invitation to anyone who wants a host/mirror for
their Scientology-related content. The only drawback would be that my
host is currently located in the US so it's open to DMCA take-downs,
but the majority of the notices sent out by RTC are frivolous and the
host the webpages are restored shortly there-after. I won't go into
the details here, but I'm in the process of looking for a host that'd
be free of all such bounderies and not break the bank =). In the
meantime I'm willing to deal with any DMCA issues myself and have
already worked out an arrangement with my ISP so that we are in contact
before anything gets moved/taken offline (so if the request is totally
BS I can take over and say sue me or go bug someone else).

Hardly. Murdoch can't stand Scientology. I have had numerous problems
with hackers
and my own Myspace has been repeatedly hacked. They are simply hacking
Myspace and
threatening people.

The way Scientology always works is that they want you to blame an
innocent person.
They frame people. They use phrases like "you have to play the game."
They are always
at fault, but "the game" is that it has to look like someone else did
it. This is an old, old
tactic - the Nazis used it, it was used in the U.S. It comes from
Puritan times when white
people would do crimes and try to frame Indians. Scientology really
comes from old European
puritanical cultures.

Scientology is all about mining people's lives for blackmail material,
and most of the
time there isn't any, so they just pull shit out of their ass.

Good. I wish the woman who had that account would stop by here. I'm
also wondering about the new page that's up. I suspect a Scientologist
snapped up that profile name as soon as it was available so the woman
couldn't use it again. (I'm surprised profile names can be used by
another party so soon after the account is closed.) Whoever has that
name now will probably simply sit on it and not use the page.

Yep MySpace doesn't seem to have the best abuse policies. That
username should have been locked down if it was closed down by them
(which seems to be likely at this point, compared to the user closing
it herself or the account getting hacked).

Sadly there isn't a lot of "fighting" you can do. From MySpace's Terms
of Service (which you agree to by using their service)...

"MySpace.com reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject,
refuse to post or remove any posting (including private messages) by
you, or to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any
part of the MySpace Services at any time, for any or no reason, with or
without prior notice, and without liability."

That's why I suggested earlier in this thread that people who want to
have websites/information that Scientology might find disapprove of not
use public blogging services as they all reserve the rights to
terminate your account without your concent. There seems to be a lot
of people with stuff to say but not the means to do so. I'll still
offer webspace (your own subdomain or domain if you own one/want to buy
one, ftp and shell access [if needed]) for people that need it, but
maybe there should be a group site setup... something that could be
more organized than usenet.

We could easily launch our own wiki (although I think usernames would
have to be handed out one at a time because anon. posting or even user
registration offers too many chances for abuse) or group blog of some
kind... it's just a question if people would use it. I mean I could
have a wikipedia clone up and running in a matter of minutes, but would
people use it and would existing site owners allow their information to
be used or would they want full control over such content? Maybe we'll
just have to try and see.
