is Dan Bluemel an (ex-) scientologist??)
Interesting that Aida Thomas comments.
Ah, confessionals. Seems to me that we had one ex-member going on about how
great they were, not so long ago...
Best Regards

It's amazing what a mindfuck those things are. Early on, $cientologists
are schooled to keep looking for things wrong with them. It's Elwrong's
big control mechanism.
I fell for that after OT3, Class IV auditor, actress Laura Hippe (who
had been on the cover of Celebrity magazine) committed suicide. I had
done everything I could to help her crack her alcoholism including
(erroneously I later determined) getting her to do the Narconon program
(it didn't accomplishing ANYTHING). At the time, Bruce Wiseman's
brother Bobby was being a volunteer "ethics officer" for AOLA and
"field ethics officer" for public. We were both living in a house with
Henning and Mary Heldt and another guy who had been in the Sea Org and
with Elwrong when he was in Brooklyn.
Later I find out that Bobby Wiseman was doing coke at the time,
drinking heavily, and had swindled a non-$cientologist woman referred
to him by his brother out of $10,000 (she never got a dime).
So Bobby was "working" with Laura at the time she committed suicide. He
split town within a couple of days of her demise and I never saw him
again. That's when I started to find out what was really going on with
him.
Still, buying into the "I must be responsible" bullshit of the cult, I
blamed myself even though I wasn't dating Laura and rarely saw her. I
dived into ethics and confessional training and co-audited the False
Purpose Rundown and other stuff and did so much "ethics" training I was
a couple of short courses from being a $cientology "Magistrate" which
is like a Class 8 of $cientology ethics. I did a lot of volunteer
ethics officering for AOLA and ASHO with never a complaint except from
a psycho OT woman named Lisa Shereshevky who was 32 years old at the
time who confessed to me that she was sleeping with then 15 year-old
Beck Hansen Campbell (the now famous musician), who was her "soul
mater" according to her. Boy was she nuts.
It wasn't until for some reason (probably prompted by my telling
Miscavige in a letter one of his minions from Germany was like a Nazi)
that I got a bunch of ordered confessionals at AOLA that I refused to
pay for, and always ended with "There was nothing wrong in the first
place" and a floating needle, that I finally twigged to the idea that I
just couldn't justify the insanity I'd seen any more, that $cientology
was totally nuts, and no matter how much I could help people with
mostly common sense, I should just get the hell out of the cult. So I
did, and told a couple of jerks who came to my house that if they ever
showed up again, if they didn't get shot, they could land in jail and
the cult would have a lawsuit.
And guess what? No "goldenrod" or anything like it. They've mostly left
me alone.
Guess I should write a book about "$cientology ethics" - it's the
biggest joke of all within the cult.
