I communicated with Maria Pia regarding her refund etc.

She had been refund of something like 27% of her payments to the crime cult.
The cult gave her back $ 500000, she says, instead of the 1.840,000 she
paid, not comprising the slave work. The document signed is probably of not
the least value before italian courts, ( I mean, since it is clearly a
fraudulous way to keep extorted / crooked money from someone who need anyway
to get anything back).

Now, the complaint: the cult complained after two years against her
against her first book. That can't probably never be admitted before court,
too late for the criminal laws (90 days deay) . For civil penalties, we'll
see how they sustain any civil pretense.

I told you that this why they are suing her.

It is not about the money.

It is because she wrote the book and she is OT VIII
and Class XI making her a much more formidable opponent
especially in her native land of Italy against the church.

50% Of the Sea Org are not even OT II.

I did not say it was about this. SHE is the one wanting her money back.

We'll know later exactly why they are trying to get civil damages (since
they can't get any criminal conviction for defamation after three months).

The laws are different over there in Europe than here
so you say because there are all these waiting periods
of 30 day, 90 day, 60 days or whatever.

But it doesn't matter where it is in the world. Unless you know
something more than me. A car accident in Paris is just as bad
as one in Tuscon.

Her book is beautiful.

My mother speaks Italian too.

Roger is talking about statutes of limitations, meaning the time
limits to file complaints or start a civil lawsuit. Those exist in the
US as well.

Statues of limitations? Well I guess it is the same almost like
they did with Paulette Cooper. They sued Paulette internationally
after her book appeared for sale in more than one country.

So with Maria, who knows, but in America? Perhaps if her
book goes on sale in America then we shall see.

But it is a nice book and I would buy if it would help Maria's
legal fund at all. If she needs a legal fund that is.

But then again Eldon, I would not count to much on the Church
of Scientology having any kind of sweeping legal victories these days.

They really have their hands full it seems with people always
protesting their activities just about anywhere you go anywhere
in the world they happen to be.

Strange, though, that the only really seemingly *noteworthy*
and I use that word with caution, legal victory they seem to have
had lately was on Dimitry Guzner, who oddly enough lived not
too far from me. And no I did not have anything to do with his
conviction, but I praise Dimitry at the same time I shake my head
to him, because although he says he Anonymous, his IP address
for his DDOS attack was not kept anonymous from OSA.

Was that an Italian law on defamation of a religion, or of individuals?
And what are they trying now - libel? How could that possibly hold up
after two years of no action?

And of course the Scientology fucks can't point to anything in her
book that's inaccurate in any way.
